2  My very incredibe, non edible, Ginger Bread house! in Winter Holidays by jenonfire on: July 15, 2010 02:05:30 PM
OK, this project needs a little back history. My parents have always been really big into crafts and back in the early 90's my dad came up with the idea of making a super realistic gingerbread house out of wood. Well they did a whole bunch of them and everyone who received them loves them even to this day. Well any who, about a year ago I asked my dad if he would make one for me to decorate and he did and this is the result. I think it's fabulous!

I made every piece of candy by hand from either polymer clay or wood. The snow is the kind of stuff the use for miniature models. It's gooey and thick and very difficult to work with.

I used little circular mirrors for the path way and I found plastic ice cubes to help decorate.

I hope ya'll enjoyed!

3  AHhhH! Poly the zombie girl! in Completed Projects by jenonfire on: May 14, 2010 09:35:45 PM
So a couple of months a ago, a local craft store was shutting down and they were giving away a whole bunch of plastic made in china dolls for FREE! I was in heaven! So I decided that I would create my very own zombie doll. My family and friends think that I might be disturbed. Undecided That's okay, I love poly the zombie girl even if others can't understand her charm.

I love the way her eyes turned out!

I made her brains with polymer clay and then hot glued them to her head. Smiley

BRAINS!!!!

I spray painted her a putrid green and then I used some enamel gray paint to finish her off.

Well I hope you enjoyed my post! I know I did. Wink

4  I Heart My Hat! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by jenonfire on: January 25, 2010 02:45:58 PM
Ok, So I've really had a hankerin' to make my self a hat! I worked ten hours straight on this thing and now all of my friends want one too! I think it turned out pretty flippin awesome!
I first took  some blue green tule and cut out 20 two inch circles and 15 one and a half inch circles. Then I sewed all of them around there edges as if I were making yoyo' After I was done doing that I poofed them out to make them into tear drop shapes.

For the hat it's self I glued two pieces of card stock together and then I cut and molded them into a tear drop shap. I then covered both sides with a piece of felt. Then I glued on a strip of cloth for edging and sewed it into the felt. I then took the tulle tear drops and sewed them onto the felt in ascending order Using the biggest at the top and smaller ones at the bottom.

At the top of the tear drop shape hat I  made a felt flower by cutting out a one and a half inch flower and a one inch flower out of felt. I then blanket stitched sequins on the edges of both. Then I sewed the small one on top of the other and then sewed jewel on top of that. I then glued it on the hat.

I then glued a clip on the underside of it.

The finished product! Yay, Go me!

Thanks for Looking! Muah! Kiss
