Thanks so much!  They are lots of fun to make and with three daughters and two nieces hair accessories get expensive!

@grammar_gremlin : It's crazy it looks navy but it's actually a really dark grey.  Still love it.  Our dining room is burgandy.  It was the first room we painted when we moved in.  It works so well with our table.  I am definately not afraid of color.  lol

@banana731 :  I really debated painting the fireplace.  I knew I would paint the grate portion. (I hated that shiney gold)  Somewhere under those fake bricks I'm sure is a beautiful fireplace.  They are the ones you put construction adhesive on and stick up for walls and things.  (yuck)  I just haven't had the guts to really pull them off and see.  We have talked about painting the floors in the hall but I love hardwood and would gladly spend the time to sand and restain and seal.

@batgirl, and hilarei :  Thanks so much.  We went around and around on what color to paint the walls and I finally convinced the hubs to just trust me and he would love it.  I painted it while he was at work and when he came home he thought it was amazing.  Men.

Thanks we love it and yes it was under the carpet.    We got very lucky.  You never know what you will find under carpet.  For instance in our downstairs hallway under the carpet was a giant paint spill on the hardwood.  Guess it was easier to cover it than sand it and restain it.  People just don't value hard wood I guess.  lol  Also all the door trims and baseboards and the stair case are all wood that is painted white.  ugh.  In time though I will bring it back to dark wood.

When we bought our house the living room was awkwardly long and had hideous wallpaper and carpet.  Fast forward two years and viola!  new paint and no ugly carpet.  Looks so much better now.  :  )

These are great we were discussing putting movie monster pics in our downstairs bathroom.  Something a little different.  It's now between that and vintage freak show posters.  Smiley

Just having a day I suppose.  But my creativity won and I created my newest painting!  16x20 oil on canvas.
