3  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / DORMANT: Socks, Slippers, and other toe warmers (with pattern link) on: November 29, 2009 03:52:51 PM
I have been checking out all the patterns for knitted socks lately and I am totally in love! The only problem is I can't knit....so I have decided to do what comes naturally and make a pair of crochet socks. This will be my first pair so if anyone else wants to join in maybe we can learn as we go.

Pick out whatever pattern you like. CPC has some pretty good links to get started I think I am going to try the in yout shoes ankle socks first. http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/socks.php
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need pattern or ideas for a one skein (7oz) baby blanket pattern on: October 31, 2009 01:43:42 PM
You could do a giant granny. With all the holes in the pattern one skein should be able to make a baby size blanket.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hat Sizing on: October 17, 2009 09:45:29 AM
It would help if you measured the head prior to starting the hat. I run into this problem a lot with my daughter because she is growing so fast its hard to guess what size I will need.

Make sure to measure from the forehead to the furthest part of the back of the head (I hope that makes sense).
