1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: The pointdexter scarf on: September 10, 2012 03:27:20 PM
Oh, THIS is SO CUTE!  I gotta get my friend to make me one as I am knitting and crochet illiterate.  :-)
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Ladybug Cell Phone Case on: July 09, 2011 12:15:30 PM
I needed something that I could attach my cell phone either to my purse, my wallet or myself in case I didn't have pockets and this was what I came up with.  It has a shorter strap for attaching to the clip on my wallet or a lanyard and a longer one for attaching to my purse.  I think it'll work for what I need it for, and it only took scraps that I had in my stash to make it.  What do you think?

With the purse strap tucked out of the way...

It's called "acryllic water kit" or something like that.  :-)
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Miniature Aquarium-Dollhouse Or Paperweight... on: June 25, 2011 08:00:35 PM
So, I was doing a swap on one of the Dollhouse Miniatures lists I'm on with another forum, looking for ideas to make something spectacular and "wow" worthy.  I came across someone's blog page where they showed how they made a dollhouse aquarium, so I put my own spin on it and this is what I came up with.  It would be awesome with a miniature light in it, in a dollhouse living room, or just on a desk as a paperweight.  What do you think?

The "aquarium" it's self is one of those magnetic top paperclip dispensers.  The "water" is that acryllic stuff that hotels use to make their silk flower arragements (I got it at Walmart, but Joanne Fabrics has it too).  The fish are glass beads (I found some clownfish beads that I want to use to make another one of these).  The rest is stuff I had in my stash of treasures.

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Family water bottle holders (Now with tute links and D-ring pics in post #10) on: September 02, 2009 11:05:50 AM
I'm gonna make some too. I have three store bought ones that I carry all the time, so I know I'd use one I made and could show off!  :-)  I think I may make mine with a drawstring opening though, to make them more secure in the holders.  I wonder how it would work?
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Winter Wonder Boutique Bag on: September 02, 2009 10:56:02 AM
We're having a Purses With A Purpose auction at church to raise money for Christmas for needy families.  I made this to donate to the auction.  I hope it makes lots of money for the kids! :-)

I love that yellow swirly fabric! Any other angles? (Side, bottom, lining, etc)... Beautiful work!

Thanks!  I didn't think to get any other pics of the bag before I sent it.  I was in a hurry to get it out.  The next one I do, I will take more pics.

I can't believe I've been so busy that I forgot to show you all this bag that I made! The swirly fabric is silky and was very hard to work with, but my friend that I made it for loves how it turned out. What do you think?

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Rainbow Trippy HippyCaterpillar Purse & Clownfish bag, Recycled from t-shirts on: April 17, 2009 02:20:00 PM
I found some of that clownfish fabric on eBay and they also have the t-shirts with the clownfish on them.  I just did a search on Clownfish on eBay and it came right up. I got a yard of the fabric so I can make myself a bag.

Thanks for the idea.  Yours is awesome.  I hope mine turns out at least as cute.
10  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Framed Stencil Name Plates for gifts... on: April 17, 2009 01:34:56 PM
I made these for my two nieces for their birthday.  Tiffany is going to be 15 on May 3rd and Chelsea will be 11 on May 5th.  I used a reverse applique technique on fabric with stencil letters that I made myself, and then put the completed projects in frames.  I did one for my grandson, Hunter who will be 1 on the 15th of May too.  :-)
