1  Scones in Recipes and Cooking Tips by TanyaJean on: January 21, 2009 10:04:15 AM
Meyer Lemon and Fresh Cranberry Scones

These were not the most beutiful of my tasty creations, though they were absolutely delicious !

I live in the California Bay Area, and have fresh, local, organic produce delivered to me weekly from Capay Farms. Each week they send new produce, so during the holidays two of the items in our box we received were meyer lemons, and fresh cranberries  so I found a receipe to use both!

If you like a tart, and not too sweet morning treat, these are perfect !

Plus, if you live in the bay area check out farmfreshtoyou.com from Capay farms, and support local farmers and eat fresh ~

2  Ugly Doll Cake in Dessert by TanyaJean on: January 15, 2009 10:56:48 AM

This was my first attempt at Fondant molding.

I also added some dots on the side which were fondant rolled out thin and cut out .

The little guys, Ugly Dolls, were my daughters choice for her 10th birthday cake.

They were a bit more difficult but were just molded with the fondant.

I had a lot fun doing it too !

3  Freehand Crochet Friends in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by TanyaJean on: January 14, 2009 12:45:49 PM
SO I got on a roll making amigurumi dolls, inspired by Creepy Cute Crochet book by Cristen Haden.

I made a few from the book, though I quickly go the urge to add a lil of my own to them. I made them larger ( 6 to 7 in). and came up with my own designs.

His name is Frankie... lil frankenstein inspired by my one year old nephew learning how to walk... he looked like a lil frankenstein.

This was my second one made for my lovley sister who was dying for me to make a Twiztid, violent Jay... ithink ( an insane clown posse protege ) ....and he is not giving a thumbs up...
