holy moly your daughter is adorable!  and the dress is awesome too.  i want to make myself one - i'm guessing this pattern isn't in adult sizes too, though.  i had a chinese-style dress like this when i was in middle school and loved it - if anyone knows a pattern like this for adults, let me know!

I think your modification is better than the original!  (I'm not a big fan of long gray jumper-dresses - they make me think of pregnancy or something). Your pink fabric is way cute and the dress looks very modern and chic.  Good job!
