1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Man, those seed beads are tiny on: March 11, 2009 06:58:34 AM
These were my first two attempts at working with seed beads.  I thought they would be really easy projects, and they were, but man, was it time consuming.

For the first one, I reinforced the clasp and button with wire, because, just string seemed too flimsy.

Thanks for looking Smiley

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Aventurine Choker on: March 08, 2009 10:24:27 PM
Wooden beads with a wire wrapped Aventurine flower and red vintage crystals.  Clasp is also handmade.  This one was one of my first pieces and I took it apart a billion times.  It seems pretty simple, but for me, it was one of the hardest things I had to make  Undecided

The flower consists of 5 briolettes - I used the tutorial from accentyourself.com

6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Discussion and Questions / Any cheap alternatives to kilns? on: March 08, 2009 10:04:32 PM
I've been itching to try out making ceramics - but the cost of kilns keeps holding me back.  Is there a cheaper alternative to buying one of those expensive ones?
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Making a cluster of beads with beads? on: January 14, 2009 09:09:48 AM
I have been lurking around for a long time but never posted before.  I am very new to beading and have been gaining inspiration from all of you talented ladies.  I was trying to make a bead out of seed beads.  I am looking more for making a cluster of seed beads, instead of using a filler bead to wrap the seed beads around.  I googled till i turned blue in the face, but I haven't found what I'm looking for, well, except for tutorial for 30 dollars, and I'm not really willing to spend so much till I'm sure I'm committed to (and capable of) jewelry making.  Any help would be mucho appreciated.  Thanks!
