1  A Tribute to the B-52's in CHALLENGE 3 ENTRIES by Dragonmaid on: June 30, 2005 09:28:10 AM
This is my tribute to my favorite band, inspired by the song "Love Shack" http://www.lyricsxp.com/lyrics/l/love_shack_b52_s.html  is a site with the lyrics.

I took a perfume box, clay people (made them with gingerbread men cookie cutters, then added hair) poster paint, and some fabric, and made this diaramma.

That is what the real band looks like!

2  Re: Comic book character costume idea? in Halloween Costumes by Dragonmaid on: June 22, 2005 06:58:35 PM
I have really short brown hair. I feel stupid for not thinking of this before, but your Rogue idea is very do-able. When Rogue was introduced in Avengers Anual #10 as a vilainess (back in the early '80s) she felt uncomfortable with her powers, so she had a loose fitting costume! AND she had super short brown hair with a white streak on either side. All I need is white hair mascarra, really bad eye shadow and.. anyone know a sewing pattern for something like her outfit she wears? or wear I can find/make inexpensive gloves like the ones she has?

I made this shirt yesterday. Born To Be Bad is the title of a Runaway's song (I LOVE the Runaways) and the Images are Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Cat women.

5  Toy animals on necklaces in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Dragonmaid on: April 04, 2005 12:49:02 PM

There they are! (sorry the photos arn't the best, the cords got cut off, but they really are long enough for a necklace, and the turtle ends in a toggle clasp, the gator with a barrel clasp.) I threaded some plastic animals onto a black wax linen cord. I am thinking of selling these and my other jewelry made from small toys, so if anyone can give me tips on how much I should sell them for, or how to improve upon them (just keep in mind my lack of camera skills), then that would be greatly appreaciated, too.

6  Bubba:a redneck monster in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Dragonmaid on: March 08, 2005 05:43:14 AM
His arms are open to give you a hug!

This is Bubba, my redneck monster. I sewed him from fuzzy orangy pink material. I made his farmer jeans from an  acid-washed denim remnent, his hair is yarn, and his hat is a mini straw hat that was laying around the bucket I keep my crafts in. Oh, yeah, his bandana is red fleece.

7  Re: Any ideas on how to make this in time for prom? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Dragonmaid on: January 11, 2005 05:06:21 PM

Thanks! this one is even better than the dress i was looking at before! I don't think there is much spider web fabric around in January, though. But I have some skull and cross bones fabric of the same texture I may be able to use!

8  Any ideas on how to make this in time for prom? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Dragonmaid on: January 11, 2005 02:23:10 PM
Does anyone know how I would go about making this dress? My prom is not for a long time, but i'm sure it will take lots of time to make.

Any one know of a pattern that looks simmilar? Or how hard it would be to make? Thanks!
