I just finished it today, and I rather like how it turned out. It's made of super warm fleece and it's lined on the inside. The ears are long enough to use as a scarf, and the pockets are the perfect length to put your hands in. I'm surprised that the ears weren't too heavy for the hat. I did have some problems keeping the pockets closed though, but it works fine now. No pattern was used.
