2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / The strongest Pokemon- a Mewtwo poppet on: October 01, 2010 05:12:28 PM

So I'm a huge Pokemon nerd (bet you couldn't tell haha). Anyway, this is Mewtwo, my first poppet. I had to alter the pattern a bit to get it to work, but it's based off the wonderful ghilie's poppet pattern. He's handsewn and made of purple fleece and some sort of gray fabric.

3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Is it possible to... on: July 31, 2010 05:09:29 PM
I want to play a prank on my extended family. For Thanksgiving, everyone gets together for the traditional feast, and one of the most popular and quickest to disappear foods are simple Pillsbury crescent rolls. My plan? Fortune crescent rolls! Is it possible to hide a fortune inside a crescent roll? I know it's a lot different than making fortune cookies, but what I need to know is if it is safe to cook the paper or if there is a trick to getting paper fortunes inside baked goods. Help please?
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / J&T Challenge 2: Sunflower chocker on: June 15, 2010 11:55:18 AM
I saw this challenge and thought, "what feels like summer?" The first idea that popped into my head was "Flowers!". So, a sunflower-inspired chocker was born!

The band of the chocker is crochet, and the flower is my most recent attempt at kanzashi with a button for the center. The necklace closes with a button and is quite comfortable to wear!
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / 90's cartoon swap on: March 01, 2010 10:40:20 AM
yes, I know that there's currently a suggestion for an 80's cartoon swap, but what about Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, Angry Beavers, Darkwing Duck, and Doug? These cartoons deserve a swap too!
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / a Jester and an Emo Jack (1st post!) on: July 08, 2009 08:43:17 PM
So... I've been lurking here for a while, and finally decided to start posting some of the things I've made (the fact that it's the middle of the night and I'm bored probably influenced that decision).

This is Emo Jack. Made a few years ago, he's the first successful thing I ever sewed, but all he does is sit in the window and sulk. All. Day.

And Jester. He's quite a bit friendlier than Emo Jack.

They're both made out of the same old striped shirt.

Please tell me what you think!
