1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Preemie clothes. How big shall I make it? on: May 30, 2013 03:37:24 AM
Some friends of mine are having their first baby far too soon. It's week 28 and they don't know how long they can wait. Anyway, they asked me to make some tiny clothes for the baby and I have NO idea of how big/small to make them.
I've made tons of baby clothes before, but never to a tiny baby. I've been searching the web for patterns for trousers but no luck.

Does anyone have any idea of  size and where to get a pattern?

A tip might be to make sure the "hair" lies inwards when you sew so you have clean edges. That makes it easier.

It's incredibly cute!

5  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Reconstructed summer shoes on: June 05, 2010 05:19:55 PM
Well done.
I have the same problem (exactly actually except I don't know what's wrong with your feet) and it's a drag finding shoes. Last years I've ended up with Keen since it's the only summer shoe that's sturdy enough.
I wish I could find shoes like that, but I'm not getting my hopes up at all.

I'm glad it worked our for you!

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Socks and soles on: April 30, 2010 04:15:33 AM
I'm making a cardigan from Drops Delight at the moment, and I had to sturdy it up with Jrbo 1-thread.
But I very much like working with it. It's easy running.
For sock I think I'll stick to sturdier yarns though, but I could make the shaft in Drops Delight Smiley The shafts are great looking Smiley

Do you really like Drops Delight for socks? I think it's far too thin, but I love the yarn. Have made both shawl and baby clothing from it.

Funny how just the mentioning of Drops Delight made me look if you were from Sweden Cheesy

The socks all look great btw Smiley
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: pancakes in pajamas party for 2 year old on: April 09, 2010 06:36:54 AM
Have you considdered a pancake-cake? Swedish pancakes are a lot thinner but the idea is pancake, icecream+jam, pancake, icream+jam until you get a pile hig as a cake. Very well liked among kids.
