Cool stuff - the wallet looks fab!

I got my stuff today, amid the chaos of packing boxes for my new bed! Why does everything always happen at the same time? Roll Eyes

Everything is awesome, especially as it centered around my love of Peter Steele!! (Type O Negative) Oh my goodness, such lovely things! I'm recharging my camera at the mo as I got all set up to take a picture and my camera went off Angry so you'll have to make do with a description for a few minutes. Pics added!

Everything:

Firstly I pulled out some yummy Belgian chocolate, which tastes great, even so early in the morning! Roll Eyes

Then, a rockstar scarf which is perfect for me, all black and silver glittery thread. It's all warm and snuggly but with a bit of 'edge'.

Next, some candle sand, which I have to admit had me wondering a little...until I unwrapped the etched Peter glass!! How cool, now I can worship him properly! I probably shouldn't admit to this but when I saw him in concert a couple of years ago (in Manchester then the next night in London = obsessed fan allert) I managed to catch a water bottle he'd been drinking out of! Roll Eyes Probably the one occasion it wasn't red wine! So I can add that to my new shrine!

But the best thing in the whole package is my portrait of Peter Steele...swoon! I love it soooooo much, it's well painted, perfect colours and looks so like him!! It also goes perfectly with my green computer room so he's already been put onto the wall! He can look down lovingly on me while I'm working!!

and the real deal for comparison perfect likekess!

Awesome huh? I can't thank Cat (tickle-me-elmo) enough for so many thoughtful and excellent items!
I've met and spoken to Peter Steele. Wow is that a big man or what?

42  Blindside Jacket in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ewushka on: May 21, 2006 07:17:17 AM
I thought I should share my Blindside jacket (made for my elder daughter, who is also modelling). Since she's a big fan, and she needed a jacket for spring/summer, I thought I'd just make the best of it.
Here's the front:

And here's the back, complete with backpatch made from official merchandise, and autographs, which sadly faded, so they're now embroidered:

I'm quite satisfied with this one.

Here's almost everything I got from nix kisses. The missing items is a ball of blue cotton yarn and another package of shrinky dinks (that are already in progress)

I love it all, but the shrinkies are the best! I've made cool Blindside-necklace and earrings for my daughters and they love it! I'm so happy. You can't get shrinkies in Sweden! (stupid! We don't have any Michael's or Jo Ann's either Sad )

46  Candlemass - Messiah Action Figure in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by ewushka on: November 20, 2005 04:17:11 AM
Anyone heard of the Swedish doom metalband Candlemass? Their frontfigure is a jovial guy called Messiah Marcolin.
Since my boyfriend was doing an interview with him and I was bored for an hour I decided to make him a little gift.

This is how happy he was to get it.

Apparently he showed the doll to everyone shouting "Look! It's me! I'm thin!" and immediately decided that the doll was going to be seated in the very front of their tour bus.

I'm just glad he liked it.

Possibly round holes that you sew stiches around (like buttonholes) by hand. Make sure to put a piece of boning at the far end back to keep the fabric from crinkeling up.

Insert image? Just click it and then insert your image webadress like so It's easy! Smiley

Well, here they are, at last.
This first one is after a custommade pattern. It's an underbust with extra hipwidth. It's simply a halfmoon-shaped piece from the waist down over the hips. Something like that.

This is the latest pvc-corset, made from a Simplicity pattern(#7215). Since it's not made for me it's being modelled by a pillow Smiley

This is the same Simplicity pattern, but in silk. Hopefully the crinkles will straighten when put on real model Smiley The neck-corset is only boned with plastic.

Back. This lacing seems to be the easiest to pull.

I've used four layers of fabric in the top one, and three in the other two. Steel boning, and steel spiral boning.

That is so cute!
Me, I made a Totoro-backpack instead, but my boyfriend is making his own Domokun-tshirt.
