11  Crocheted doll in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by ewushka on: June 24, 2009 03:37:38 AM
This is Elsie. I didn't know that was her name while I made her (my daughter and my mother is called Elsie) but as soon as she landed in her new mums lap she got the name and it seemed to stick.
Embla 2 years, was very happy to get her and the blanket.

Hope you like it too.

Pattern from this brand new swedish amigurumibook: http://www.bokus.com/b/9789163861574.html?pt=search_result&search_term=amigurumi

13  Latest granny square blanket. in Crochet: Completed Projects by ewushka on: June 10, 2009 02:37:48 PM
This is my latest finished blanket. It is for a couple of friends that are getting married in august, but as usual I couldn't wait. I'm now busy finishing a blanket for another couple who are getting married in september. Pics will come soon.
The bride loves purple but I wanted to keep it rather neutral so I only used a little purple mixed up with grey and white.

Here it is spread on our bed that is 160cm wide so you can get a picture of the size of it.

Detail, the colours are a bit pale. They're more vibrant actually.

Hope you like it.

finally got the pics to work!

14  Crocheted purse for spring in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ewushka on: April 13, 2009 04:10:26 PM
Over a year ago I bought these wooden bead handles on sale and they've been on my mind ever since but I've just had to much on my mind to really make something of it. Then all of a sudden I found some old cotton yarn lying around and decided it was time. So I made a purse and used the handles and my 16-year old fell in love with it on the spot and confiscated it.
I did have time to take some pics though:

15  Spring scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by ewushka on: April 13, 2009 04:03:50 PM
It all started with one left over ball of milk yarn. I had to make something with it so I decided to knit a baby hat. Said and done. After finishing the hat I thought It needed a scarf to go with it, but since it's a small girl I wanted it to come alive a bit, and there wasn't enough yarn to make a whole scarf. So, I had som great Rowan cotton that came in handy. Crocheted a mesh, and then I crocheted a string of flowers in the milk yarn leftovers and weaved it in.
This is how it looks:

Here's another Suicide Bunny, amigrumi style. This one is more suicidal than dead, but still, he seems determined.

17  New skirts for my daughter. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ewushka on: March 21, 2009 05:59:45 AM
My daughter who is soon to be sixteen has discovered the skirt. Well, she's had skirts before of course, but now she wants me to make her new ones.
I'm not hard to convince of course so I made her these.

The first one is made from vintage fabric (late 50's I think) that was probably ment to be curtains, but I think it worked just as well as a skirt. It's cotton.

This is made in a cotton wool blend and is really soft.

She loves them. Hope you like them too.

18  Tote bag for Swedish weather in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ewushka on: March 19, 2009 07:20:28 PM
My niece who's eventually going to get this is living in the very south of Sweden. You might think that the biggest weather issue in Sweden would be snow, but not really, it's rain, making snow into slush or just rain.
I also know that my niece is sort of a snob and likes certain designers so I made a totebag with a Marimekko pvc bottom. That way she can put down the bag on the ground whatever the weather's like.

It's a bad pic, but the coloured part is khaki green.

19  I can play with wet stuff I in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by ewushka on: March 19, 2009 07:14:28 PM
I made this from a piece of Marimekko fabric with a pvc side for my nieces daughter who is starting to see the fun in colours and helping dad with the dishes. She simply needed an apron and since I had this piece lying around it came in handy.

20  Another granny blanket. in Crochet: Completed Projects by ewushka on: March 19, 2009 07:10:21 PM
My friends just had their second baby and they're both geeks so I decided to make them a Tetris blanket.
Unfortunately this great idea popped up in Malicas mind too and she beat me to it, but I guess crafster is big enough for both of us, don't you?
