Leader in Craft:
Amy Lumsden has been a ceramic artist for approximately ten years. She began working in clay as a student at Seton Hill University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting and Ceramics.  She makes both functional and nonfucntional pieces in clay, as well as ceramic jewelry. She truly appreciates clay as a medium and believes that its quite possibly the most humbling material to work with. She is greatly influenced by all things vinatage, especially fabrics and textiles. Her wish is that the things she creates are seen as both functional and beautiful.

She is 30 years old and currently live in Pittsburgh, working out of her studio, in her lovely new home in West View. She is an Advisory Board member for the Braddock Creative Arts Program, and her work can be seen at Boxheart Gallery, Moxie Dada Gallery, the Heinz History Center/Smithsonian Shop, and of course, her Etsy site - redravenstudios.etsy.com.
