1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Art Noveau Hair Clips - Img Heavy on: June 08, 2009 07:37:51 PM
I happened a box of vintage curler clips  at my local Goodwill, and decided that they must be put to purpose.   As the visions of unused Scrabble tiles, all the proper adhesives, and embellishments sitting around at my house danced in my head - they came to this end result!

How we got there:

Oooh.  Cuuurler Clips.

Lonely naked Scrabble tiles!  Let's give you a bath and get you dressed! Sad

For this we used a paintbrush, an art nouveau scrapbooking paper, and Mr. Mod Podge.

You need some dressin up scrabble tiles!

For this we used some mother of pearl discs, bead caps, small green glass beads, and E6000 on the tip of a ball-point pen.  We also used the E6000 to attach the tiles to the clips.

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Vintage Reconstructs on: May 24, 2009 05:16:22 PM
It's been awhile since I last posted, but I've been very busy in my workshop, er living room.

I got a bag of broken costume jewelry from a friend, and proceeded to give a new life to the baubles.

I'd love some feedback on my latest projects, I'm awful proud of 'em!

All were made with love, care, and of course E6000.

This certainly isn't as skilled as everyone else's projects, but I had fun making it!

I took an old frame I got from Goodwill, E6'd some buttons on it, and made a flower with some extra buttons and scraps to go inside the frame.  I think it's fun and tackilicious.

Forgive the glare.  I used a glossy sealant.  Smiley

New to this subforum, hope this fits - I think it's the best spot.

Made this plaque to hang on me wall.  And an extra for a rainy day.

My personal belief is that faith is the key to unlock any untapped potential.

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Perfect Posies Bracelet on: March 17, 2009 04:56:33 PM
Aww.  All the little smiley guys are Irish today.  I'm 'fraid I'm not.  I am Welsh.   Cheesy

Anyway, I smacked this together awhile ago.  Love this bracelet, really simple constuction.

Jump rings, wire twisting, and some E-6000 on the pink mother of pearl discs.

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Hello Kitty! (Braclet) on: January 12, 2009 07:46:13 PM
So, I don't have any acutal talent, but I lurves to string some beadies.

I made this for my sister for Christmas... had to resize it, just got done.  Will have it in the mail as soon as I get home... which I hope is soon.

I give you the Blue Moon Beads Wal-Mart 1.99 bin Hello Kitty bracelet.  It was all found there except for the clasp.

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Vintage Style Pendant and Glass Pearl Necklace on: January 11, 2009 01:02:19 PM
So, the creative bug bit again.  (It usually does at least once or twice a week.... more often when my husband's deployed)

My projects may seem a bit old fashioned for this board, but I'm always inspired by the frilly, and the Victorian.

The cream colored pearls, the clasp, and the large gold colored beads were rescued from a good friend's costume jewelry trash pile. (The pearls were going on 25 years old!)

The grey pearls and the pendant were new components from Michaels.

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Valentine's Day Necklace on: January 08, 2009 09:50:34 PM
So, I've gotten started a little early... but I decided to work on Valentine's Day.

This necklace is constructed from a thrift store find (which I still have some of those fun white flower links left of), some organdy ribbon, and one of a set of clearance earrings, and the help of E6000.
