I've been using a short row shaping technique for hoods lately. It works well for a hooded scarf and now I decided to add a lacey shawl or capelet to it. I love working chunky. It makes for a nice hood and a drapey effect as a shoulder wrap. This one buttons at the neck and also has a frog closure. I played with handmade crochet frogs, but I liked the sleek look of the black cording.
I'm not too familiar with these forums, but saw the challenge posted on Facebook and thought it would be a fun way to start getting to know more crochet friends. I knit also, but LOVE crochet.
