1  Re: Super Simple Holiday Apron Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by mambosushi on: November 17, 2013 03:06:45 PM
Hi, I'd like to take this time to say, Smileyyogini's great.  Look...

It's like she knew me.  Cute apron, fully lined.  Included a hand crocheted trivet that matches.

Thank you for such cute stuff, Smileyyogini.  And thank you, Donniesgirl for thinking of such a fun swap.  I'd forgotten how addictive craft swapping is.

I got my package from smittenheart.  Aaaaand here it is...

This is a picture of everything.

Scented handmade soaps (ooh la la) pineapple/cilantro and clover/tea.

A necklace with a clear resin charm shaped like a bottle with red and pink hearts floating in them...so cute.

A tea towel with a cocktail embroidered on it.  BTW, hand embroidered.

Bartender's Pocket Guide!  Haha!  Featuring such classics as..."Lobotomy", "Alligator", "Ninja" and much, much more!

A knit bar towel with a martini pearled (knitted?) in it.  Fantastic variegated color.  Smittenheart, what kind of yarn is this?

A great purse made from a sweater.  Wow!

The buttons are my favorite.

Everything's great and fun and serious jealousy up in my house.  Thank you, smittenheart.

Here's what I made for the swap

Sorry.  It's a horrible, alcohol induced photo.  Haha.  But I made a fully insulated bottle bag with a recipe on it for PURPLE MARGARITAS (my partner likes purple).  I found this great ribbon with cocktails on it and made a set of notecards with them that say "CHEERS".  I included a set of four shot glasses.  For entertaining, a set of cocktail charms with different color salted margarita glasses as the charms.  Aand, my favorite...here's a close up:

A wristlet.  My latest obsession.  I'm cuckoo for zippers.  Mandy was graced (inflicted?) with one from me in a previous swap.  This one's out of killer purples, fully lined, with a purple zipper and a rhinestone martini glass.

4  Re: I still miss the Gilmore Girls Gallery in The Swap Gallery by mambosushi on: September 29, 2009 02:14:20 PM
I got my package from Mandys08 on Friday.  This was a fun swap.  Mandy and I had a few things in common.  My favorite being that our favorite seasons were 1 and 2.  So, while I was crafting, I watched them on DVD religiously.  Here's a picture of everything
A fabulous scarf (so soft) Lorelai always wore great scarves
A great framed picture of Lorelai and Rory with my favorite line from 'The Long Morrow' episode
Glossies of Lorelai, Rory, and hunky Luke
Another frame with cork board in it and extra chalk so I can write on the frame.  Mandy put GO YALE and my username on it
A travel mug with 'Coffee, coffee, coffee' on it and 'Luke's Diner' Logo.  I use it every day.
But my favorites:  A bag with 'Miss Patty's School of Ballet' embroidered on itI so appreciate this bag as it was a find in a thrift store that she so skillfully embroidered in my favorite colors.  Even gave the ballerina brown hair...like me!!!
Aaand...a picture of Miss Patty with a HILARIOUS line from "Will You Be My Lorelai Gilmore?".  I love Miss Patty.  The picture's on my fridge.
Thank you Mandy.

Here's Part II of Klum78's bag-o-fab.  Rainbows.  I love rainbows.  This is the happy stuff

Here's all of them

Here are my big, big favorites

Wow, look at those greens!!!!  And that orange peeking out, pretty.

Now, look at Simplysandy's and Klum78's together.

Uh huh.  I got some plans.  Thanks again, Klum78.  Fun stuff.

Here's half of what I received from Klum78 the other day.  This is a fun little pack.  I was curious when you announced brown, red, yellow, blue was your theme, but I think I see where you were going.

Here's most of it

And here are my super favorites

The brown on the bottom...SOO CUTE.  And I LOVE the yellow on the top.  What I thought was the best about this pack (beside the color combination) was that a lot of the prints had the same type of flowers.

I love my stuff, Klum78.  Thank you.  And I'll post pictures of the rainbow pack when I take a break from playing with it.  I think you and Simplysandy were channelling eachother when you each made your packs.  They were definitely meant to be in the same fabulous thing I decide to make.

I also received Simplysandy's dotty charm pack on Friday.  LOOK

I can't pick a favorite.  I do love the dots with rings around them and lots of colors.  I mostly love how she has the whole rainbow in it.  Very pretty and fun, Simplysandy.  Thank you!!!

Here's what I got from Maremare on Friday:

The blue and purple pack

These are my favorites from the pack.

I love the swirls.

Next, is the black and white pack

My favorites are on the bottom of each picture.  The first WOW and 3rd BOW are the same print.  I like those very much.

I just found a print at the fabric store with Geisha gals AND skulls on it.  This pack, my Asian pack, AND my skull pack are definitely joining forces with that fabric for something really great.

And lastly, the green and brown pack

My favorites are on the bottom row of each picture.  The mostly brown and mostly green ones in that row are the same print/different colors.  Those two are so nice to feel and have such a luxurious sheen to them, like a man's tie.  Very beautiful.

And, Maremare packaged each set with a complimenting trim.  I love trims.  So clever and pretty.  Thank you, Maremare.

First, I'd like to thank Gatsbygirl for sharing these treasures.  Look!

Two things I love:  Orange and Geometric.  Boy, was I lucky.

And these are the ones I wanted to be sure I got a great scan of as I was instantly inspired by them.
I'll keep the extras to myself...for a little while.  But I will say, they are beautiful and different.  How clever and thoughtful, Gatsbygirl.  Thank you!
