1  mini messenger bag-kid size in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by rainbowcreek on: February 18, 2009 11:15:08 PM
Here is a little messenger style bag I made for my granddaughter to carry on Saturday shopping trips. I used the free pattern from All People Quilts.  I made a little wallet for her too, just rag edged it and added a bow.

Also, I finally got a tutorial posted on my blog for the valentine tote bag I posted here a while back if you want to check it out.

2  Batik Bag with a Bow in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by rainbowcreek on: January 27, 2009 11:29:58 PM
I saw this pattern in the quilt shop and of course was too cheap to buy it (it was amy butler) so I took the measurements of the bag and finally tried it out today. Not sure why I did it in the batik, but I really liked the earth tones. It is big, 17" wide X 14" high, with a long drop on the straps.

I am thinking about doing it with a pleat in the center next time and maybe a button.

3  and a couple more ... in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by rainbowcreek on: January 22, 2009 11:05:22 PM
Ha! It worked, I figured out how to post images!

Here are two more that I made over the weekend. These are my own pattern that I make up as I go, I tried to do a tutorial for my blog but haven't had time to finish yet.

4  new bag Amy Butler Daisy Chain in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by rainbowcreek on: January 22, 2009 10:52:24 PM
Ok this is my first attempt at posting photos here, wish me luck.

I made this today with Amy Butler Daisy Chain fabrics. I used a Simplicity pattern that I picked up on the 2.44 rack at wally's. It went together pretty quick and easy, but I did have to add a couple of inside pockets.

The lining is a damask from Joann's, it doesn't show in the picture but it has a silver metallic in the print.
