Im so terribly behind on my list again.....but until I sort out whats finished and whats not, I have these two pictures to share.

I saw a question about how to make these out of solder, and frankly that scares me so I tried from clay...

I may be making more of these if I can get more glow in the dark beads. Im not sure if Im putting them on my wall or on my ceiling yet

While going through my grandma's old jewelry box I found this blue bead that I loved and Ive been saving it for a long time until I found the perfect project for it. So I turned it into a simple necklace since I wanted the bead to be the main focus.
Here is the whole necklace, the pendant is kind of blurry in this picture.

Its probably the simplest necklace Ive ever made but Im really in love with the result!

So Ive been wanting to do this for awhile now, so I finally tried it!
I followed that process for the first bit, but as you guys might notice I changed it up about half way through This is how I always wanted to do mine and after a bit of fiddling I figured it out rather easy! I also used two ribbons, so in some places it looks a little wonky...
I had originally made it thinking it would be a headband, but Im not sure how that looks so Ive dubbed it a multi-purpose headband/necklace!

Then I loved how it turned out that I decided that I needed to have a matching bracelet!

And if you guys are wondering, they arent heavy at all! Ive also been thinking of adding a little sticky rhinestone to it, but Im not sure if thats a horrible idea or not. Should I just leave them as is or is there something better I could consider adding?

Alright, I attempted to take pictures of my nails and it didnt go very well. So I ended up just making a really bad little collage of all my nails. The light blue one is the first one I got to work the first time I tried. All the rest are how they are now, I really should have tried taking pictures after I first did them. Over the weekend they got all kinds of chips in them  



I have a flower press also finished, waiting to take a picture of, I just have to decide if I want to decorate it first. I also have a terrarium done but since I am in the process of making my big one I think Im going to wait and post them together.

So I tried string gardnes finally after staring at them for awhile....I bought a 6 pack of annuals for $3 so I figured it wouldnt be a big deal if I messed up. But I think I have a success!
Here they are when they were finished and waiting to be hung. It rained for like a week after I made them so they ended up sitting for along time.

Alright so since its still CRAP outside, I decided to give you guys a umm...teaser picture if you will of my string gardens

Im not sure if they will end up getting their own post or not but either way you guys will be seeing more of these guys when its nicer outside.
Also, since I told you guys Ive been making more string pendants I decided to give them their own post so if you run into them again dont be alarmed

If youve seen these first four before, its because I posted in the beginning of May over in the 50 projects in 2010 thread. Since Ive been making more I decided to show them all off I didnt have the coiler thingy so I went with the beaded method.

Some of the colors are a bit off in the pictures but thats ok. At first I was a bit bummed out that I had to use beads but now I dont think I would use a coiler even if I had one And I can proudly say all of these except one I think were made while watching my X-Files-athon!

I dont have the coiler deely that you need so I did the beaded method that Ive seen. I did some normalish ones.

And thats how I spent my day yesterday while I watched X-Files....

First things first, credit must be given to this awesome instructable. I did things a little different though.

So there are the planters in phase 1, complete and waiting for decoration. The first one came out a little wonky since I was a bit unsure with the melting. There is a bit of a learning curve to melting things I suppose. The last 3 kept their circle shape VERY well. (I wasnt going to say anything but...I generally crop my pictures but I couldnt resist leaving my sneaky kitty in the background  )

So after awhile of questioning how I should go about decorating them, seeing how I wanted them to be weatherproof, an idea struck me. I decided that since they were pop bottles I should just make some new labels for them. So I fused some plastic shopping bags together. That brings me back to the melting things have a learning curve to them lesson. I only had 2 different types of bags so I was a bit limited. After I fused the main label piece I went and added some decoration and fused them in as the last step. Then I made little sleeves that would fit the bottles. Incase you were wondering I flipped them inside out and melted the tail sections and then turned them right side out again. One ended up being too small so its been directly glued to the bottle. Anyways I give you phase 2, the labels. I dont know if you can see lots of the details in the middle two.


And my not so creative way of displaying them hanging in phase 3, COMPLETION 

Im making one more forsure, my brother has wanted one when since I showed him the instructable I was starting from. I would have made one with mine but I wasnt sure how 'hands on' he wanted to be with this project. I did most of it yesterday and it doesnt take very long at all The labels were the most time consuming.

I realize that I could have spent alot more time on these but I was more interested in experimenting and thought Id share my results. I once again used #6 plastic

The one on the left is 3 layers of plastic and the one on the right is 2 layers. I metled them all at the same time and held it down a bit while it melted. The 3 layers I had to shuffle around a bit because it melted wonky but the 2 layer melted down perfect. The 2 layer is so TINY its like the size of a dime, but if you only have scraps to work with what can you do?

This one looks like junk in the picture but its my favorite. I did this one the same as my fishie one on a prior post. I did the water on one side and the sharks on the other, but this time I blended the water a bit with sandpaper so it would be a little softer where the colors all meshed together. I think I might need to find some sort of black backing to hang behind it to balance it off. Not sure what though.
The subject probably requires a bit of an explanation so I hope you'll bear with me One night last year when I wasn't really paying attention this documentary came on and I got sucked into it and it turned out to be probably the best one Ive ever seen. I stayed up till like 2 in the morning watching it. It was called Sharkwater. Ever since watching it Ive become fascinated with sharks. I REALLY recommend the documentary but be forewarned that it has VERY GRAPHIC film of shark finning....I got the picture off the websites wallpaper, there is supposed to be a little man in the corner but I ended up erasing him because I thought it looked better just being sharks. They do look like sharks right? 
Anyways I am now out of plastic.... Maybe I will order some actual brand name stuff instead of scrounging because that almost seemed harder than looking for brand name shrink plastic. Once I actually make something with them I will probably update here and let you guys see what I did
