EUROPE / GERMANY / Questions About Germany

Hey there. I have a friend who is moving to Germany next year and I'm making her a going away package. I was wondering what kind of things I could include (gift cards or recommendations for places to check out [stores, restaurants, etc.], stuff that you look for in America that you can't get in Germany, basically necessities and other cool things). I was also wondering if someone could buy me some stamps and various other things from Germany and I can pay for them. Thanks!

OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Surprise Going Away Party

My friend and I are hosting a surprise going away party for our friend who will be going abroad for next year's school year. We've invited about 30+ people. The party will be at my house, and we're going to get cake and have a bonfire and make s'mores and perhaps barbecue. Any other suggestions of how to keep these 30 or so 17 year old girls entertained from 3:00 until "whenever" (thanks to my friend who put that on the invite!)?

OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / My friend is moving to Germany...

My friend is going to Germany for next year and I wanted to make her a kind of "survival kit" type thing to take with her. Except I'm stuck for things to put in it. I was gonna make her stationery, envelopes, etc. and somehow buy her some German stamps (online I guess...) and make her a mix CD. I also have a photo album with pictures of things she'll miss about home (like a picture of our school, a picture of our favorite restaurant, etc.) But I'm stuck for ideas. Anyone?

OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / GRADUATION GIFTS - ASAP

So I have about 6 or 7 friends who are graduating this year. We aren't THAT close, but I do consider them my friends and I would like to get them something to remember me buy and also to help them in college. A few suggestions I've had are buying them Dr. Seuss' Oh, the Places You'll Go, making simple jewelry, or buying flowers. Problem is, the last chance I will have to see them is next Friday at "Class Day" where we celebrate their graduation, so I'm short on time. I'm also short on cash. Any suggestions?

MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Red Sox Crafts?

Hey, I'm new.
I'm planning on making all of my Christmas gifts this year, and I have the majority of them planned out. But I have two friends that I don't know what to make, and I think I want to make them something involving the Red Sox since they're wicked obsessed. Any ideas?
