So I recently decided to leave Hawaii and come back home. I need to completely redo the apartment I am moving into. The paint is decent in one of the rooms but the rest needs massive amounts of help.

1. I have the most beautiful ceiling "rosaces" and "moulures"
that's what a rosace looks like...sorry I am just too lazy to check how they say that in English, so I'll just put a picture of it.
My problem is that the ceiling was painted with really thick paint and now they look heavy and nasty. Anything I can do to make somehow get the paint off or make it look better?

2. Since this used to be an old concierge lodge...there are no closets. Actually one of the rooms still has a weird little thing in the ceiling where a vent was installed for the old heating system (i.e. let's burn wood to make fire). I was thinking of putting a mezzanine bed (being an old French building the ceilings are rather high) and having my closet underneath it, but that may not work out. Any recommendations?

3. I jut bought the carpet today. I was going for fire red but it ended up being just a shade darker. I was wondering what colors would go well with the carpet.

Hi, I just made this a few days ago and I love it! I just learned how to play around with the different types of stitches to making this was really entertaining! I got to finally satin stitch something whoohoo...

I stitched in the little monster and the hearts all by hand. I thought it was hilarious...but apparently a lot of people don't get it...sorry for the blurry picture

finished this one a little while ago but never got around to posting a picture...sadly it's way to small for me...oh well, my next alteration might be making it bigger!

I finally finished this thing! I put quotes that I really liked, I got picked for an airport search and while I was waiting I noticed that all of the guys at the X-ray machines were laughing...they were reading the back of my sweater! I always get compliments whenever I wear thing and that makes me happy because I spent a looonnnggggg time on it!
