2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Challenge 2 entry: supermarket's litter = fabulous solid milk bath mould on: April 26, 2009 05:12:08 AM
For easter Germans (& Swiss as well) buy cute little bunnies made from chocolate. This is one of those cuties who managed to survive the last couple of days:

One can notice that this cute little fella is sitting in a plastic tray. These trays are used by supermarkets and carriers to transport & display the chocolate bunnies. Afterwards they are thrown away. What a waste, because they do make excellent moulds for all sorts of bath  & beauty products.

Filled tray.

Filled tray (back).

Finished product.

As its nearly May and the days are getting warmer and warmer I wanted to create a summer-y product, something that one can use after a day out in the sun. It should moisturise dry "after sun" skin, make it soft & smooth, be refreshing & calming and should leave a tiny sparkle on the skin - perfect for those "hot" summer nights. Because in Germany milk products are traditionally used for sunburns I put milk & joghurt powder in it. It contains loads of shea butter & almond oil which are great for the skin. I also added some Vit E for additional goodness and some shimmery green mica. I added Lavender & Mint essential Oils for a cooling feeling on the skin.

4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / 50s pin up lips - "redder than red" (tutorial) on: April 10, 2009 01:40:33 AM
Okay, this is the way I like my lips...

...and thats how I "make" them:
I used dr. feelgood as a base (making lips smoooooth), a red lipliner, red lipstick and red lipgloss by MAC (but I think any drugstore products in the right colour (tomato-red) will do).

Thats how my primed lips look like without any colour smeared on them.

Take the lipliner & scribble "X" on your lips....

...line your lips with lipliner...

...fill in with red lipstick...

...if you like your lips matte, you're done by now.

If you prefer shiny, sparkling, va-va-voom lips, put on the red lipgloss...

Yes, I do look tired...

5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Massage butter with Swiss chocolate on: March 26, 2009 01:34:17 AM

Contain caco butter, almond & cocnut oil, white beeswax + 10% famous Swiss chocolate. I love the smell - it's delicious, like when you were a kid and your mom was making a chocolate cake (chocolate, vanilla, hints of cinammon and hazelnuts). Might be not the best thing for upcoming spring but I like it anyway.
6  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / bodyscrub on: March 10, 2009 03:45:02 AM
bodyscrub made from homemade *basic* soap with sugar, almond oil & shea butter, smells like cotton candy, vanilla & raspberries...

7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Butter Cream (Lush) Recipe? on: January 12, 2009 05:37:03 AM
hi fellow craftster

at the moment i'm trying to figure out a recipe for butter cream bars by lush (https://www.lush.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=539&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=80), which is basically a fatty soap, but i'm just not brave enough to pour some sheabutter in a M&P soap.

any ideas?
8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / How do you get the "drizzle" on your sopas? on: January 08, 2009 01:28:50 AM
Hi everyone

I've been reading across your wonderful projects from the past few months an have noted, that so pour some kind of "drizzle" to decorate their soaps and i was wondering how to make that.

Could somebody be nice and give me some helpful hints?
