Not sure. I think it was just a progression. My mother-in-law taught me to sew baby blankets on a sewing machine and I just sort of expanded from there. Plus I have this thing where if I see something that looks cool, I have to try it. So . . .

On the go quilting is not something I do. Hand sewing blech. I don't mind embroidery and cross stitch, but I avoid all other hand sewing when possible.

I haven't used my sewing machine since I finished my daughters quilt. I have been working on a cross stitch pattern but I have a ton of sewing I should do, including several quilts.
