GAH!! I'm in AGONY! Just send me ALL of them...I'll have a family!!! Or maybe a sorority? O.o I'll back you up with postage!  Wink  Cool  Grin

A poppet sorority. That could be cool.

Is it sad that I don't think I've ever made it up before my kids?

On a poppity note: narrowed it down to three, but I think my brain may be churning out more ideas, bumping the possibilities back up.

Those are so cute. Great use of pom poms.

I've never attempted a busty poppet yet either. If I decide to go that route I have plenty of fabric to practice with.

Well I've managed to narrow it down to four ideas now.  What if I make them all and then post obscure sneak peak photos and let people vote?  Wink

OKay, I think Melerrific should have been like a sister or best friend to me in real life....our tastes are SO SIMILAR!! I adore what she put on her questionnaire. I want to make a poppet out of each theme she chose!!!! Ahh...the ideas won't stop coming! O____O GREAT FANTASTIC WONDERFUL Job lvlOrg4n!!!!!!! *off to stalk sneakily and stealthily*  Grin

I agree completely. Narrowing down is going to be tough on this one. What to do, what to do? Well I'm sure I'll figure it out.

She looks great. Did you sculpt her fingers?

I finally got my poppet to the point of needing clothes. Man I really don't want to make his clothes. I making him for an artist friend of mine based off of one of his pictures and the clothes. . . well I think I'll just have to simplify them.

If you just want basic brown or blue you can look at Hobby Lobby if you have one near by and sometimes Joannes.

If you want a larger selection of colors I like http://www.suncatchereyes.net/index.html.

Size wise: most people go with 15mm or 18mm, though I think some went with slightly larger 20mm to give the poppet an anime like look.

As for the nose the pattern talks about using clay, but I like to glue a pony bead to the inside of the nose to help it keeps its shape.

Also I was told that if you put a pencil into the body and up into the neck it will help with the tipping neck syndrome many poppets get from their hair being too heavy.

Hmm, well let me know if you have any more questions and maybe I can help you out.
