11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / glueing felt onto canvas? E6000 glue on: August 04, 2005 04:40:40 PM
i want to glue on some felt cutouts onto canvas fabric. i bought e6000 glue.
is e6000 to strong for this sort of project? i bought e6000 because i plan on glueing rhinestones & other stuff...so i was hoping it would be an all purpose glue. its brand new, havent opened it yet & i have the receipt.

thanks in advance  Smiley
12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gift for Mamas! Mod Podge & Glass? on: July 30, 2005 07:07:36 PM
visiting my mom next weekend. i have tiny marbles, mod podge...and i need to figure out what i can make w/this squared glass candle holder thing? the white round thing in the center of the candle holder is the barcode (incase yur wondering)

i had originally planned to:

a.) make the marble picture things & glue them around the candle holder (dont know if they will stick w/mod podge)

b.) decoupage a photo in the center where the candle goes...even though its more of home decor, hoping she will use it without the candle  Wink  (but will mod podge work w/this glass? & how can i neatly cut out a picture the exact shape of the square?)

c.) i cant seem to think, i still have my receipt & can return this glass candle holder  Angry

other supplies i have are a sewing machine, fabric, acrylic paints (thats if they dont expire...ive had them for YEARS), card stock...just mention any items i *might* have them

Undecided help please...i want to make this neat looking, not messy u know? any ideas on what else i can do w/these items would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance
13  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / i am a beginner! just got the book! help! cant find supplies! on: December 04, 2004 09:12:00 PM
ok i dont have anyone to teach me at all & the people working at joanns are way more clueless then i am.

so i was all excited...walked to joanns (i live a couple of blocks away) took my book to buy the supplies i needed. they only had size 8 needles & the length is 14 inches. is that how long stitching needles have to be? they are huge. i bought the size 8 because i figured i can do the "babys first swatch" on pg 44
but i could not find some worsted weight yarn, such as brown sheep company lamb's price. is there anything else i could use to replace this? or what exactly should i be looking for? any details as i dont know what the hell im looking for lol

as for the gogo garter stitch scarf...what yarn can i use aside from whats on the book? im looking for cheap yarn that i could use for this specific project but nothing itchy for my neck

or does anyone have any links to cheap yarn websites?

i really wish i had someone in my life who knew about this. i feel like an idiot...almost regret buying this book cos i dont understand anything.
