1  Chibi Totoro Plushie in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Sabbit on: January 07, 2010 02:52:16 PM

One of the many shapes of the amorphous little white Chibi Totoros. Smiley Made in stretchy fleece, filled with polyester fluff, except for the tail, which I filled with barley to weigh it down. The eyes are embroidered on by hand.

Made for Eileen for her birthday tomorrow. Smiley

2  Beast Wars BlackArachnia Shirt in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Sabbit on: July 06, 2009 05:33:18 PM

I've never sprayed over a stencil before, but I really wanted a Beast Wars (Transformers) shirt. My favorite characters are Black Arachnia and Silverbolt, so naturally one of them seemed like a good place to start.

I'm sure there are easier ways, but this is how I went about it:

I went to a silkscreening shop on the boardwalk and picked up a nice, plain black shirt.
I printed out the Predacon symbol fitted to an 8 x 10 piece of paper.
Exacto-knifed out the design, traced it onto a cardboard shoebox lid.
Exacto-knifed that out (Didn't have a handle for the blade. Sheesh. Took forever.)
Set the shirt with the cardboard shirt thing inside it, set the stencil, spray painted gold fabric paint.
Used a lolipop stick to fill in the lines for holding the gaps in place.

Smiley I'm incredibly proud of it. I'm thinking of doing the Maximal sign in gold on a silver shirt next (or some comination of blue/silver/gold) for Silverbolt.

Cheesy

3  Inu Yasha Amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Sabbit on: January 23, 2009 11:48:28 AM

Inu Yasha!

My friend saw the Hellboy I made, and wanted an Inu Yasha doll. This was an adventure, I'd never made clothes like this before. Lucky for me, there was a website with a pattern! http://dollmaker.nunodoll.com/anime/inu_yasha.html They make so many different anime dolls, and have such helpful step by steps! My doll was made differently, though, so the pattern got a bit of tweaking. I finished him this morning, and she loves him. ^.^

He sulks.

4  Hellboy Amigurumi! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Sabbit on: January 21, 2009 09:48:29 PM
My first Amigurumi project, and my first post on Craftster!

A Christmas present for my boyfriend. It's his very favorite comic book. My first idea was to cross stitch a sign that said 'I would die for her, but she also wants me to do the dishes,' but I figured he'd like this a little better. I might still make the sign, because it's one of my favorite quotes, but the desire to make him a plushie hit me like a ton of bricks.
