1  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Personalized Sexy Librarian on: July 14, 2012 07:59:04 AM
I am a school librarian.  I altered the wonderful librarian pattern to make it fit how I feel at work.  I love my job but it does feel like I'm doing everything at the once sometimes.

I just got married so I embroidered my new name on top!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Doodle Stitching embroidery on: July 05, 2010 06:50:09 PM
I finally figured out how to post pictures, woo hoo!

My sister gave me Doodle-Stitching by Aimee Ray a couple years ago for Christmas.  It was a great present! I have used several of these wonderful patterns.  Last summer I made these fun pillowcases.  They took me probably 10 hours.  They are mostly stem stitch  with some satin, lazy daisy, french knots, blanket, and herringbone.  This was my first project using many of these stitches.

Looking back at these, I guess I should go back and design one for summer and winter so I'd have all four seasons.
3  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / my first embroidery on: July 05, 2010 06:33:35 PM
I made these embroidered pillow cases about 6 years ago.  I made them for my boyfriend for our first Christmas.  They were the first thing I ever embroidered.  I'm just now getting around to taking pictures and de-lurking here.

I made them using the Sublime Stitching patterns, "Tattoo Your Towels" and "Spaced Out" transfers. I used back stitch and satin stitch.  These pillow cases probably took me several hours as this was my first attempt at embroidery.

*crossing my fingers that these pics show up*

Thanks for looking!

(I promise I'll try to take better pictures next time.  Any tips on photographing your embroidery?)
