I used to work on my mom's old Singer touch-n-sew; which is still pretty awesome, I've got it kicking around.  But santa brought me Singer's Quantum Futura.  Besides doing all the regular ol' sewing stuff, it also embroiders.  And the fact that it hooks up to my laptop makes my inner geek sing...

anyone have any idea how i can get my hands on discarded billboard material in the Boston area?  i mean, i'd grab a ski mask and box cutter, but i'm afraid of heights...

any tips would be greatly appreciated!
