Happy Holidays everyone! I hope the season is treating you well!
I just got home from holidays with the boyfriend's family in Walla Walla, Washington! It was a wonderful time and now I'm back to work and crafting!

I have my smalls done, and extras are being accumulated steadily. I'm still not sure what to do for the last project! Crafters block anyone? lol

I'm sure I'll figure it out really soon though and will probably be sending early! Woo!

O usually use an e hook and don't have problems with holes but maybe I'll try smaller!  Good excuse as any to make a trip to the craft store. Thanks for the tip.

It's a little late I know, but I made this for a "Thanksgiving Rnd 2" dinner party I attended a couple weekends ago. I think he made for a pretty great host gift (along with a couple bottles of wine)

I did stuff him a little too much though and so some of that shows. Oh well, no one is perfect and everyone loves stuffing am I right. (horrible joke)

Anyways here he is. I didn't use a pattern I just looked at some other critters for inspiration and went for it.

Along the way I did accidentally teach myself how to make a sort of neat half circle (tail) and I was pretty proud to figure that out Smiley

Gobble gobble!

I totally fell in love with him while I was crocheting, it was really hard to give him away. Smiley

Just checking in with everyone to say hi and also ACHOO!
I've been sick, but not in bed nearly enough as work has been busy cause of the impending holiday.
I've taken a hiatus from crafting so I don't infect my items Smiley
Drinking a lot of tea though lol!

Hey everybody! Is it just me or are the yarn sales this year ridiculously good?
I've been stocking up for the cold months ahead where I won't want to leave the house...just sit and crochet all day. (and maybe do some house work)
This swap has me so excited for shopping for partners that I've already done a little, and if when I do get my partner I have to buy more...well then so be it. Smiley

I have one of the smalls done.
I think I know which mug I'll be buying.
I KNOW what I'll be filling it with.

28  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Hats for my nephews! I couldn't wait for XMAS on: December 06, 2009 05:48:14 PM
I actually used a modified version of the "boy beanie" in The Happy Hooker book. I crocheted in the back stitch only on the striped parts like is illustrated in that pattern in the book.

The colors were their request. Awesten was easy, he likes black and blue, but Ethan loves purple and I really didn't want it to end up looking too girly. I think they turned out well.

Thanks!

I will have to pick up some of those paper brad thingies.
30  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Six legged baby octopus loves you! on: December 04, 2009 09:59:02 PM
Oops he turned out to only have 6 legs.

Oh well his lil handicap only makes him more charming.

I made this little guy for a swap and since she's received already I figured I'd share him with ya'll too.

He loves you.
