I received from Frosty772. She claimed me for some stretchy headbands to control my hideous growing-out bangs & she sent 8 of them! Plus, they're reversible! Thanks Frosty! Smiley

After much travel back & forth (grrr!), my package was finally received by moonshire. She asked me to post pictures until she could get some. Sorry, I don't have a great photo, but this is what I sent her:

It's: a large red kitchen wetbag (because she said they use cloth "paper" towels), 3 t-shirts (Bartlet is the President, What would Bartlet do?, & Team Toby), an iPod Touch case with Zoey's panic button (& a quote inside: "NOW I'm having a good time." - Charlie), a shopping bag (made from a t-shirt) with a block of cheese on it, and 3 golf club covers with the Presidential seal on them.

I also sent a glass mug with "Keg of Glory" etched on it (great minds think alike!), but it was my first etching so it was less than perfect. I included notes in the keg with web addresses for a WW drinking game & a recipe for "the best bagels in all the land". I have a photo of the keg, but apparently I haven't uploaded it from my camera yet. I'll try to get it up soon.

I have such a great time crafting for this swap! Smiley

Get your wisters ready... I got an awesome package from hawkeyes_girl!

Here is everything together:

A closeup of the flower necklace, handmade soap (smells so good!), washcloth, & coasters:

A closeup of the shopping bag & belt pouch (like on my wist but better)! I can't express how much I love these! I have to buy or make myself a belt now & I'll be doing that VERY soon so I can put the pouch to use with all my shorts & skirts without pockets. (I can't believe I wisted a belt pouch & I don't own a belt - doh!)

And my very favorite item - a beautiful skirt! It's gorgeous & drawstring & I LOVE it! Hawkeyes_girl left the bottom unhemmed so I could choose the length, but I think it's perfect the length that it is so I'll be sewing on some bias tape ASAP so I can wear it. It's so comfy too!

There was also an awesome pair of shoeless sandals that you can see in the first picture that I didn't get a closeup of because I want an action shot but my feet are hideous! I'll try to manicure them soon so I can add a good picture of them 'cause they're awesome & perfect for me!

Thanks so much hawkeyes_girl! Everything is perfect. And if USPS.com is right, you should have received your package from me today Smiley

I got an awesome package from moonshire yesterday. Forgive me for posting a bazillion pictures, but I wanna be sure to adequately show everything off! Smiley

Here's everything packaged up all beautifully & wrapped in some cute vintage fabric:

Here's a really great sturdy tote bag with Leo's napkin. I will use this constantly!

A "Big Block of Cheese" pin cushion:

Framed embroidery that says "Post Hoc, Ergo Propter Hoc":

An awesome zippered pouch with Bambi on it, which I thought was hilarious:

And then I turned it over & thought it was even better!

An extra - a Kermit zippered pouch (so cute!):

More extras! The fabric used as packaging & a dress I can use for fabric (I love orange!):

Here's everything all together:

Thanks so much moonshire! I love everything & so does my husband!!

17  Re: another (old fashioned) random gallery!! in The Swap Gallery by SAHMama on: June 11, 2010 03:35:45 PM
My partner received earlier in the week, but I guess she has been too busy to post pictures of the things I sent. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to get any pictures of the items before I shipped off since my daughter had just gotten home from being in the hospital and that was the last thing on my mind at that moment.

Hopefully she liked what I crafted for her. I hope that everything is going alright her way.

I'm so sorry opheliapoe! I'm a terrible swap partner for not posting sooner! I do love everything, I've just had a crazy week. Here's the awesomeness that I received from opheliapoe:

Some fun extras - bugs for the kiddies, a Cajun survival kit, antibacterial gel, and orange fabric (I love orange). I happen to have some of this fabric already! I like it a lot & I used some for another swap so I don't have much left. Now I have more though so I'll be able to put it all to use! Smiley

I love Dr. Seuss, so opheliapoe made matching Dr. Seuss shirts for me & my toddler son & a matching onesie for my baby.

An I-spy bag for my son, which he loves. It's funny because I sent opheliapoe I-spy bags for her kids Smiley I made one for my son when I made her's so he has two now, which is great because we have one for the house & one for the car.

An awesome fabric basket. I absolutely love it! It's got orange too, of course! This lives in my "crafting/sewing area" (by which I mean my dining room table!). It's awesome 'cause it's huge & is a great place to put all my odds & ends & WIPs that usually get spread out all over the table. It matches the room too! Smiley

This is absolutely awesome - an orange scarf that is gorgeous, & it has buttons & button holes so I can wrap it around my back & shoulders like a sweater/shrug I have on my wist Smiley It's a little long for that (I probably didn't provide very good measurements, plus I've lost a lot of pregnancy weight), but I think with a little creativity I can fasten the buttons in a different place or wrap it different to make it work. I'm so impressed by the detail to it so I'm gonna include a closeup too...

My husband was totally impressed too. He said he'd wear it if it didn't have "girly" buttons. Ha! Like it'd let him!

Thank you so much opheliapoe!! I really love everything and I'm sorry I was so negligent in posting pictures!  Embarrassed

Now to catch up on the several pages of the gallery I've missed...

I received a truly awesome package from MommyTheMaid! (I was right!) Get ready to wist:

An ouchie freezer pack, capsules that become dinos in water, & some felt & patterns to make felt food:

A cloth diaper with aliens, an adjustable apron for my son (for playing with felt food, some of which I received from MommyTheMaid in a personal swap before Crafty Detective!), and wool shorties & longies:

The longies have a fish on the waist Smiley

Gotta include the action shots:

And my favorite items - a shirt that says "Eat at Mom's - Fast, Fresh, From the Breast" and this gorgeous skirt!

Sorry this picture is blurry but I wanted to show the full length of the skirt.

You're a fabulous Crafty Detective! Smiley
