My Halloween theme - awesome bag! I have a pile of stuff that I need to take back to school tomorrow and despite that its not October yet, I'll be using my Halloween bag!
Straight from my Pinterest - since March I've gotten really into practicing yoga. It makes me feel better, helps me focus, helps even out my horrid mood swings a smidge. And GlassKicker made me (bought me? either way!) this wonderful necklace that says Eat Pray Love.
Celtic, green and brown glass earrings! So pretty! They're inspired by something on my Pinterest.
She knows I'm a yarnie so she bought me some handspun yarn! The color is called Blackberry. Its a beautiful deep plumy-purple color. I LOVE it!
In taking pictures - I had help. The dog says hi! and scratch my tummy.
And this last piece is simply fabulous! A GORGEOUS glass plate! I have to find somewhere to display it!
I know you were embarrassed about messaging everyone (including me) but its all good! I'm super thrilled you were my stalker (who would ever think as a woman you'd say that?) and my package is AWESOME!
This is my usual costume anymore. I bought the hat and then fixed it. It had the fluffy black and silver feather stuff on it which I took off. I received the green skirt in a previous swap. I bought the orange shirt and the corset at my local Ren Fest. For a while I was my own evil twin and that was great because I could mess with the kids at my old school. At my current school we "don't celebrate Halloween" so its book character day and I have to be the witch from Hansel and Gretel.
I've finished two projects in the last two days. I wish I could post pictures of them! I'm so happy with them! Hopefully gotgrey will like them too! I think I'm on my way to go work on some more goodies!
Challenge/Battle/Alert: July Multimedia Challenge Team/Ninja: Team Music Project Geekdom (if any): MUSIC Bonus Points: Nerdy Super Bonus! Project Name: Maracas Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=425188.0#axzz2Y8T89IXz Brief Description: I made some of these last year and they are a hit in my classroom. So I've been working on making more of them to sell at my World Music Drumming (WMD) training this summer. Its a week of nothing but drumming! I love it! It is the best week of my entire year including Halloween, birthday and anniversary! I LOVE me some WMD!! Since they are maracas, they come in pairs. The picture below is 25 pairs of maracas! Project Picture:
I've talked before about being an elementary school music teacher. So I'm always looking for new instruments, new things to make, new ways to make my class more fun. I made several of these last year for myself. But they're hosting a session of World Music Drumming here in North Carolina at a friends school. And she said "you should make these and sell them this summer!" So.... I did. This is definitely a.....
CHALLENGE ENTERIES! There are 4 entries here! I hope putting them all in the same post is okay.
1. Knitted yoga socks.
2. Polymer Clay wall plaque
3. Patchwork Boho Sling Bag - I drew blood twice making this bag! The rotary cutter attacked me and then pins also attacked!
4. Om Hoopla.
These four goodies were made for smileyyogini in the Namaste swap! She seems to be very happy with them and I was thrilled with the way they came out. And I may or may not have stolen all her pictures from when she received her package! They all have their own postings in the appropriate places.
AIMR - thanks for the extension on posting projects for the May/June challenge! Much needed!
Making these was an experience! I started with one pattern and they were HUGE so I had to hunt down another pattern. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with myself. I usually can't knit anything better than a scarf!
