1  COOKING / Dessert / xbox 360 cake?! on: January 02, 2009 12:07:18 PM
[have posted this also on the 'desert' section, so don't think you're seeing things!!]
Having been a lurker for many months now, I have finally got an excuse to join and talk!!
My boyfriend turns 20 soon and I wanted to make a special cake that he would love, and the theme of this cake is his beloved xbox 360.

I have seen this http://blog.pinkcakebox.com/xbox-360-grooms-cake-2008-11-11.htm which I think you will agree is amazing :| and thought about making that.. or perhaps lots of little cupcakes with mini xboxes on.. or a giant cupcake (the wiltshire giant cupcake pan is my dreaaaaaam cake!) with tiny xboxes and game figures on it?

I guess the whooole point of this post is to ask for advice. How hard would that cake be to make? Very Im assuming but what kinda of recipes should I use. What would you do?? If I were to make mini xboxes, what would be the best thing to make them out of? etc.

I really want to surprise him, and seeing as I never cook for him (he's a chef himself) I need to make it super-duper.

Thank you so much in advance, ANY advice would be appreciated!!
