1  Re: A Game of Thrones Swap (SU to July 9; SO August 9/14) in ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED by Averia on: July 31, 2014 06:37:58 AM
One itty bitty failure today but hubby went shopping with me for new supplies and insisted i buy enough to make a duplicate for us.

I had one more failure but then a success! woo hoo, I can finally get started on the large.

btw, sorta off topic, but omg the chaos in my house is really affecting my ability to craft. Here's a shot of my kitchen & family room at the moment. I'm also missing the lavatory, and floor in the hallway.

I am really late with the pictures - so sorry. Life, or at least my house is a mess right now. I never would have imagined how discombobulated I am with my kitchen torn apart.

Here is the wonderful package I received from Rae-mazing

First up is a lovely hoop with one of my favorite quotes

Next is a zippered pouch with the tree of gondor painted on it. I wish I had gotten a picture of the lining - very cool wood grain fabric.

Best of all is this picture of Pippin! So much talent!

And check out the sweet extras!

Thank you Rae-mazing!

Please excuse the horrible delay in posting goodies I received last week. La Chapa sent me these lovelies for my new kitchen (really, i wasn't scared that she might send me a pinhead doll... I have never recovered from watching Hellraiser so seeing her incredible ami of him really stuck with me)

What she did send was lovely grey/blue and white dish clothes for my new kitchen. Here they are, posing on my new stove which happens to be in the living room at the moment. The ones with the blue scrubby in the middle are so very useful and I am so happy to have brand new lovelies for my brand new kitchen.

Thank you!!!

Alwaysinmyroom sent me such a thoughtful package in support of my hexie obsession.

Here's a group shot of everything: A lovely hexie pouch, 2 tins with tiny sewing supplies for my portable projects, hexie paper pieces, and oh so many lovely bits of blue and white fabric!

Sorry for all the picks, but a package like this demands close ups of the goodies.

First up is the beautiful hexie pouch itself. Sorry you can't see it the details so well in the picture, but there are 3 pockets.

so perfectly portable - A tiny little paint chip needle keep.

piece de resistance a tiny little magnetic pin cushion!

Those flowers are amazing, but seriously creepifying too Cheesy

Here is the amazing twinchie I received from SheepBlue! So tiny, so perfect, not only beautiful stitching, but lovely choice of materials. The lattice stitching on the thistle is gorgeous! 2 tones and so meticulously done...

Thank you Emma!!! I'm not the best at pictures, so please post your own if you have some, especially ones that show the detail on the thistle better.

I got my package from Im Sew Silly last night! Don't you just love it when people 'get' you? She had claimed me for blue and white items to go in my new kitchen (They are coming to start it on July 7th! So excited!)

Here is a lovely nautical fiber art hoopla. I love the fabrics she chose!

And a different take on the fabric bowl. I'm thinking the fabric is braided? The colors are perfect. She added in a touch of bridal lace that I think suits it very well.

I received two packages this weekend!

First from Grab a coffee I received notecards and 2 perfect little itty bitty inchies!

Here are the many many many notecards (including some stamped by her son with the 3 stars from Harry Potter)

And here are the adorable little inchies. They have joined my very very small collection (ooh, I think I may have made a pun) of inchies waiting for me to figure out how they ought to be displayed. I really do love them and need to figure out something fabulous.

Next package was from MissMoppet. She claimed me for some guinea pig love. Here is everything she sent: Lots of guinea pig love (a corner hammock, a rectangle hammock and a pouch) and some hot pads for the new kitchen in my favorite color - Blue

Here's a close up of Blackie (Do not listen to my children, his name is NOT PoopieButt!!!) after he climbed up on a hammock.

I couldn't get a good picture of Brownie but here he is - He loves crawling into the pouch, but he goes in head first and will not turn around for us. And of course my Jacob, proud Papa to the guinea pigs.

Thank you Eszter & MissMoppet!

anna.wahnsinn claimed me for an embroidered pouch pendant and I absolutely love her take on them. I feel so well stalked. She did an awesome job of picking designs that are exactly right for me.

Here is a shot of the inside. I have never seen felt before like the felt that Anne uses. It is very thin and light weight, but seems more 'solid' than any felt I have used. There is a tiny snap that holds the pendant closed and that is a dime in the little itty bitty pocket.

Not pictured is yet more silk embroidery floss!!! I need to invest in a floss system just for all the silk I have now.

Thank you Anne!!!

Get ready for a little bit of deja vu - Our fearless organizer was kind enough to partner two people to keep from having to have a 3-way swap and sent us very similar but nicely customized packages.

Inigo is by far my favorite and here is a lovely little Inigo all for my very own. I gave him a green plastic toothpick sword. I wish I had one of those little sword picks. I'll have to keep my eye out for one.

Here is a bag with a cross stitched Inigo. I love the fabrics! Wonderful choices and sew well made.

Here is the best fabric. I'm not sure how well it comes through in the picture, but it is all from the movie.

Here's a group shot showing everything together Smiley

Thank you Whistley!!!

Once kids are school age this time of year is complete chaos... Can I brag for a moment? Can you stop me? Maybe you would if you could, but proud mama wants to share that her two youngest performed at the state solo and ensemble festival (flute and tuba) and both scored 1's (aka, the best score you can get). woo hoo! I will keep from bragging too much and somehow resist putting Franki's prom pictures up here.

Added to the usual end of school year rush, my oldest is busy with preparations for her sweet 16 party - a mad hatter's tea party. I am a bit of a wreck because nothing is ready. Want to see the favors I have made and she is supposed to decorate? (I must give a bit of credit to Luckdragon - I saw it on her pinterest ages ago and made her one with a glue gun and she made me a stitched one. The stitched one was so much more lovely that I went a little mad stitching them myself)

it's okay though, we have plenty of time, right? I mean it isn't until the 24th and that is ages away. Oh wait, no, it is tomorrow!!!! Eeeeek! We are having a black and red candy buffet and I have that all ready. We don't have food ready yet though... I have a ton of sweets - petit fours, cream puffs, napoleons, chocolate dipped maracoons... who needs savories? okay, enough with my excuses for why I am not claiming. I'm off to clean.
