It took a little longer than I thought to finish, but got all my batting cut today - 65-10" squares, 20-14" triangles for the sides, 4-7.5" corner triangles

I got my WIP baby quilt finished today - just had a bit of the binding left to finish and now it is done! Woo Hoo! I'm really getting addicted to HST quilts

3  Re: Make Me A Purse/Tote And Fill It!----->GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Averia on: January 31, 2016 07:23:48 AM
I received from Ladybugsandbumblebees - We had said we wanted to spoil a bit in this swap and boy did she ever! Here's everything: She made me a purse - possibly surprising to anyone who knows me, I requested black, but of course, since LBBB does know me, she put in a blue lining and plenty of pockets. She also made me a lovely scarf, a terrific market bag, and several small crafted items. A key ring chapstick cozy (and yay for burts bees to go in it), a tea bag pouch so when I carry tea bags around in my purse they wont fall apart, a pouch for tissues, and an extra matching pouch. Then there are the extras. So many extras... All useful - A tiny little sock change purse, a pretty pad and pen set, a calendar, and lens cleaning cloths. Then finally gum, tea, and eos lip balm all in my favorite flavors. There was also an adorable little gold purse button! I do think I will sew it onto the bag Smiley

Gorgeous scarf - love love love the colors!!!

Wonderful market bag - so very well made!

The crafted extras! Love the little tea bag card in the tea bag pouch Cheesy

6  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Gallery & Discussion Rounds 119, 120, 121 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Averia on: December 21, 2015 06:13:05 AM
Still breathing, still overwhelmed but still breathing...

I received a great package from bluepaisan! She claimed me for a t-shirt and did a great job on the actual claim. The playfulness of the cats comes through beautifully!

She sent along an extra that she said was for my refrigerator. Silly me, I just saw the pretty fat quarter (perfect colors!) and didn't really know what she meant. Today when I went to take pictures I saw the lovely embroidered magnet that had been tucked inside the fat quarter.Tiny tiny little embroidery and just gorgeous!

Thank you Bluepaisan!

Thought I would put up a slightly different view of the corgi stockings, both the applique one's for Carbine_Corgi's dogs and the reverse applique cross stitched one  for her Cheesy

LB&B that stocking is beautiful! Can't you just picture how nice that pattern would be with dark blue in place of the purple and light blue in place of the pink (No, I do not need an intervention. I am not obsessed with blue and white. it just happens to be on my mind all the time. I could stop thinking about it if I wanted to. I just don't want to right now)

Here's everything I received from Carbine_corgi - The stocking has an adorable shape and is made out of glittery felt.
The purchased: 2 lovely chocolate bars, 2 great pieces of fabric, veggie seasoning (very nice for us vegetarian folks Smiley) coconut oil, some steampunk gears, and a real Kentucky horse, oh wait no, it was paper mache.

I believe these to be the crafted items - the potholder really takes me back to the days when my kids were little and used to make these for everyone. I really miss those days. There is also a very creative santa wood block decoration, a very nicely made dream catcher, wire wrapped bead ring, button pouch in marvel fabric, Maybe a pin cushion in the marvel fabric? not sure, and an Indian symbol on earrings - I think it is an ohm symbol? Maybe someone who knows more about Indian symbols could enlighten me.

very nice wood block santa decoration

Really bright orange dream catcher - the color is not coming through right in the picture

Amazing Marvel fabric on this pouch!

Thank you Carbine_Corgi! I'm still chugging away on yours and hope to have it out soon.

I received from Roler! I am so very very very happy with this package. Roler sent me too much and all of it perfect for me so I am hoping I get another chance to swap with her some day so I can spoil her back a bit.

Here is everything - Even the box it came in is amazing (lower right, covered in floral Christmas ornaments)! I love this box!

L - Lucky Cats (manekineko)
A - Inchie Art
U - Useful headwear
R - Rainy coaster set
A - Ah-choo - Tissue monster

Love these amazing coasters. Check out the fabric. Animals with umbrellas in the rain and wearing Japanese clothing.

Close up of the headband/ear warmer showing the embroidery and cute little button. Fits perfectly!

So many inchies! It is hard to get a good picture of them but they are wonderful. I really like that some of them have a bit of japanese written on them. Very cool.

Lovely Japanese items - Seriously delighted with these items.

I didn't get a close up of the monster tissue holder but he is adorable and very well made. I have had one of these on my pinterest for ages Cheesy So happy to have one. Thank you for a very enjoyable swapping experience Roler! I could not be happier!!

10  Re: Ugly Holiday Sweater Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Averia on: November 26, 2015 11:40:37 AM
Lovely, but I keep imagining the lollipops are stuck to the tree by someone licking them until they are sticky and then sticking them to the needles.  Cheesy

Here is my beautiful sweater from Abbeeroad! Please note the lovely blueness of it!!! I am a huge fan of the Rudolph misfit toys - I have all the ornaments and the stuffed toys from it and this sweater makes a perfect addition to the set. This is a slightly modified spotted elephant (way better colors than the original!!!). It is not ugly at all in any way shape or form - it is nothing but awesomeness! I really am wearing it today for Thanksgiving...

Thank you!!!
