1  Re: OWS round 93-96 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Averia on: May 14, 2013 11:20:46 AM
Again I am horribly late in posting pictures. Please forgive me A2K! she made me 2 lovely and extremely useful fabric baskets!

Here is the one I plan to use for my unopened mail

Here's the large one that is going to sit next to my couch to hold projects too big for my over the arm project holder. (All my IYP goodies in progress for Roxanne are hiding in there under the homestuck neon trickster roxy supplies)

For scale, here is my desk... well okay, i wanted to post it because this is pretty much the cleanest it has been in ages.

Thank you!!!

Here are the lovely inchies I received from bluepaisan! I feel so lucky to have had such a talented and experienced partner in this swap! My favorites are the kitties.

My apologies for the late posting of these two packages.

Here is the loveliness from Gamemom42 - She sent me the prayer flag in a separate package and oh my did it ever make me tear up. She sent me a ton of scrapbook stickers, a bunch of fabric scraps in 2 in strips for my dream of a scrappy quilt and a beautiful embroidered pin cushion. Thank you Gamemom!

The other package I received this week was from Cerebral Atrophy. She sent me an adorable little ipod pouch (just the right size) and a lovely charger pouch.

Thank you Gamemom & Cerebral Atrophy

4  D&D Dice in Needlework: Completed Projects by Averia on: March 09, 2013 10:40:11 AM
I had a partner with the coolest t-shirt pinned, too bad my stencil skills are not up to the task Cheesy So I figured I would embroider it for her instead.

5  Three Amigos! in Needlework: Completed Projects by Averia on: March 09, 2013 10:33:37 AM
I got to craft for one of the most amazingly fun partners ever! I loved having a theme of Three Amigos! The hoops are done with glow in the dark thread.

I know this is sort of the wrong gallery, but I wanted everyone to see the amazing shirt Jo_mama sent me from Round 89 so I am sticking it in this one. I love it!!!

Here's a double dose of Silentblair stitching Cheesy I received the best hoop ever from my dear Homeskillet Silentblair, fellow lover of Psych and Three Amigos. I love how she added the neckerchiefs and the hair under each hat!

Pineapply goodness of a psych knucklebump mug rug!

I love the backing fabric so much I have to include a pic of the back

I squeed like mad when I saw the card - and I am not normally a squeeing sort of person. People came running...

Thank you Blair!!!

8  Owl Love in Needlework: Completed Projects by Averia on: March 04, 2013 06:55:45 PM
I had a great time stitching this up for Quaggy who honored me by being my partner in the IYP 22 swap. I'm still working on figuring out the new camera, so the pics aren't as well defined as I would like, but hopefully you can get a feel for it. Some of the stitches I played with were cast on, fly, fishbone, and honeycomb. Just to keep things fun, the white in and around the eyes is done with glow in the dark thread.

The pattern came from http://stitchybritches.blogspot.com/2010/02/owl-love-you.html

I received from Quaggy tonight! I'm feeling pretty bad about the package I sent her - ya know we said just a couple medium to larges and a couple smalls. I feel totally spoiled! Over the years I have put things on wishlists like "Quaggy style wall art" or "Fabric checkerboard like the one Quaggy made" Now I have a huge box full of goodies made by Quaggy herself!

First up, the beautiful fabric checkerboard. Seriously, it is lovely. Really a mini art quilt with a purpose. Also note the fabric checkers and matching bag for storing the checkers

Sewing supplies! a beautiful thread catcher and matching mug caddy (overflowing with a ton of sewing supplies!) in perfect fabric for me!

The picture doesn't do them justice, but the frames contain cute little cross stitched nautical items against a backdrop of beachy scrapbook paper. The frames and the "Shore" picture frame have been painted to coordinate perfectly with my living room.

Finally, about a gazillion extras - a beach themed photo box, amazing turtle with glass mosaic shell, beachy note cards, pad, bath fizzies, and a fishy candle - all nautical/beachy and all in blue and white and all perfect for me!

Thank you Quaggy!!! You have been an amazing partner!

I get to post pictures first? This doesn't feel right to me... I'm always a last minute sort of person no matter how hard I try. Enough about me, on to the loveliness from StickerChic87!

Here's everything all together. She really matched my color loves well! I received not one, but 2 books off my list. I have read and reread pride and prejudice over and over but never had a copy of sense and sensibility or Northanger Abbey.

Perfect little embroidered bookmark

Fabric covered journal with one of my favorite inspirational quotes from my pinterest

The best and most amazing bag! I love the fabrics and colors and it is sturdy enough to handle library books!

Thank you Beth!!!
