41  Re: Spell My Name Round 12 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by quaggy on: December 08, 2015 06:09:46 PM
Here are my wonderful items from spikefan!

My name is Robin

first up my gifts all dressed and tagged!

these are so funky and fun.  I love the colors so bright and cheerful. Much needed and they bring a smile to my face every time I look at them!

B is for: BLUE HOT PAD

This is so retro!  I will not be using it for a hot pad but hanging it on my kitchen fur down.  I have all sorts of vintage items that encircle my entire kitchen and will find the perfect spot for display.  The color is perfect and the mushroom adorable.  The red is an accent color I use with my turquoise kitchen.  and awe just look at the little ladybug button!

out of order...oops!

O is for: OWL BASKET

I love the 3 d effect...I have a plastic bowl that fits inside so this is gonna become a candy dish on my desk at work!

Just look at the detail on this cute Toadstool!  It is sitting on a quarter so you can see what I mean.  The toadstool is on a patch of grass and perched atop is a snail which I have named scoot!  The snail can see, it has eyes and antennas.........can you believe the detail?  Such a fantastic artist with thread.

Just can not get the photo to flip!

N is for needle and pin cushion

I love the colors 2 of my favorites aqua and red!  This pops and is going into my collection of pins cushions.  I love the pattern and the centers have attached buttons.

I was hoping to get at least one crocheted item from spikefan and feel super spoiled as she managed to craft me 5 crocheted items all with so much detail and fun colors this package brightened my day.  Her work is awesome!

Thanks again kayrun for another fun and fantastic round!

oops again I had the hardest time getting this posted unsure why but I have deleted the post 3 times and refuse to start again.

Here is my adorable hot pad....again just look at the detail!

oh and for now my little toadstool is sitting here on my laptop so scoot can keep me company!

I will be posting photos of what I sent to Tonya.  Unfortunately I took very few photos and have none with the way they were wrapped.
Each one had a tag and a treat such as candy or gum etc that matched the letter also.

T is for  Tray with artwork:

O is for:  One lead to another, & another, & another, &another, & another, & another & another.

N is for:  new artwork and bookmark  (I bought these off etsy)

Y is for yellow and brown pillow

A is for artistic supplies

a better photo of the pillow and pegs that I painted:

I am super proud of these two items since I had never heard of firefly...... lots of research paid off!

Still my favorite swap!  Thank you kayrun for hosting!

43  Re: 2015 Holiday Tags and Cards Swap GALLERY - send outs 11/04 in The Swap Gallery by quaggy on: November 12, 2015 05:38:04 PM
My cards from both partners arrived today!!!  I was super spoiled and love them all!

These came to me from bec99

I love the added snowflake charms, buttons, vintage style, 3 d effect and textured papers.....the school bus is my favorite from this set, although I love them all!

Next up are the ones that artsycandice sent to me

I love the way these were made and now have new ideas for some of my fabric scraps...I think the wreath is my favorite from this set but they are all so cute.  I need to take a picture of the  To From side of the sewn tags  They look like the perfect puzzle pieces and where the string tie was sewn on it looks like a snowflake...awesome job.  Will try to get a photo up this weekend.

These are the envelopes for the ones that bec99 sent.

I use to go all out in years past and put a tree in every room (7 total)each had a theme but as I have gotten older and my son is out on his own its just one artificial tree in the living room.

Here is last years been doing this one for several years.  It usually goes up the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I have been working on another swap but have completed 1 crafted item for this one.  I was also at Hobby Lobby and picked up a ________ _________since they were 50% off and I needed one for something else I wanted to make.  I know what I am going to do for my stocking and hope to get started on everything next weekend.  Since I am off the week of Thanksgiving and have no real plans, I  will be making more progress.

Here is a photo of the two products I used.  The snow Tex can be applied with a pallet knife or brush it also comes in one with sparkles already in it.  It is like thick icing.  After applied and dry usually overnight i them paint the sparkle glaze over it and let it dry.  It can be used on wood, ceramics, paper fabric you name it!  The pins are made using a corsage pin stuck through a small ribbon bow.  Then add assorted beads and crystals.  Add e-6000 with a tooth pick between the bottom two beads and stick in Styrofoam to dry.  The pins are like an extra gift and can be removed.  Then made into something else or worn if not to many beads are added, or just dress up a pin cushion. Don't forget to use your 40% off coupon.

It's been awhile since I swapped. This looks to be just the right size. I'd rather make 3-5 small, cute things than struggle with a bigger item right now. Smiley

Love the bunting and the doll is fantastic.  Proud owner of some things you sent in in prior swaps that we were partnered in

My new little sewing obsession of late is bunting! This is my daughter's room, which is ground zero for all my craft projects. Poor kid!
And of course rag dolls Still love those!

BF lacks on photo taking skills..........

I also got a cute and fun ponytail wrap......fun and colorful!

A new pair of the coolest Halloween socks, a note pad always needed and a super cute way to dress up my coffee mug, a crocheted cozy!

I hit the jackpot....Thank you sweety for such a great package!
