31  Recycled Sweater into a Stocking! in Winter Holidays by quaggy on: December 28, 2013 07:39:49 AM
For my stocking partner I found a sweater at Goodwill and recycled it into a winter stocking. I loved the color and it screamed snow day!

I used the turtleneck for the top band added some snowflake buttons,  pom-pom trim and added a snowflake necklace and earrings to dress it up!

My tags from P_E_S_T are so lovely!   They are uni-holiday as far as I am concerned no saving them for next year !  I think they will look great on just about any gift!  P_E_S_T went with my owl theme!!!!

The photos did not capture the texture or shimmer very well, but believe me they gorgeous  I may just have to frame 1!

P_E_S_T asked that photos be posted of the one I sent to her so here they are:

Hand painted birch wood circles!

35  Chair leg snowmen in Winter Holidays by quaggy on: December 23, 2013 06:21:03 AM
These can be picked up at a lumber yard unfinished.  You don't have to destroy a chair.

Remove the screw that will attach them to a chair and they will sit flat!  Drill a small hole for the toothpick nose and then get to painting.  The top hat is black, the body white, and the base your choice of color.  A few details and then a fleece scrap for a neck warmer!  The final detail is to spay with sealer and add some dimensional glitter snow!

36  Dry brushed Santa in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by quaggy on: December 23, 2013 06:05:01 AM
Just a quick post of a ceramic Santa that I sent to my partner in the mini 12 days of Christmas. He stands about 12 inches high.  This piece was cast from a mold fired to bisque then painted entirely black.   I dry brushed the layers of colors to bring Santa to life.  He also has a clip lite to make his stove light up so he can warm his buns!!!!  and his feline friend to keep his company!

38  Doctor Who Chess Set in Completed Projects by quaggy on: December 14, 2013 08:14:14 PM
As I stalked my partner for the Christmas stocking swap I found she had a peg chess set on pinterest so I decided what a neat stocking stuffer, all the peg pieces in a drawstring tote, perfect for a stocking.  Since I am a hoarder of all things crafty I happened to have a game box that was the perfect gift to add as an extra.  I set out with a slew of peg people in an attempt to duplicate her pin,  Here are the results.

40  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 9 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by quaggy on: December 08, 2013 08:32:13 PM
It took me all weekend but I finally managed to get my photos posted.

madmommymia stalked me so very well!  She found my love for The big Bang Theory,  reading, cupcakes and so much more.

First up my cute stocking in one of my favorite colors, red and the lining fabric sets it off so well, cherry and bright.

Next is an awesome tote with a frog, another love of mine and she also painted one of my favorite quotes!   This is well made and will come in handy for work. It is so cute and so me!!!!

Big bang theory inspired bazinga pouch and since I collect games this is perfect my own Rock, Paper, Scissors lizard, spock game, I just love this!

A rise and shine pillowcase, a book, I love to read and this one looks like it might take a few days to get through. A cute owl towel another love of mine, and a sachet that made the whole box smell so good.

Some strange towels that just may become a favorite of mine, they have a carrying tube I have never seen these before and don't want to use them in case I fall in love and can not find anymore!  I could always ask for a personnel swap!

For my love of cupcakes a handy cook book, which I also collect and do not know if I have ever posted. A candle and a wooden sign with another perfect quote, this one is headed to work with me!

The cutest hoopla which will probably not make it on my hoopla wall but will travel to adore my trailer at the lake as well and the metal sign. 2 cute owl ornaments which will adorn my tree as soon as I find time to get it up.

A journal and a Mary Kay   complexion set.

I was truly spoiled and love everything!  This swap was the best!
