Kwality, so glad you liked your package and I love the name Borris!

The items you labeled as headbands, they were made to be bookmarks but would possibly work for headbands, multipurpose if so!

Did these little creatures arrive?

I loved the tote fabric!

My spoilage has arrived from Averia and her helpful partner in crime underthemountain!!!!  I am so amazed at the treasure that were sent my way.  Averia had a blank canvas to work with as I gave her free rein to craft anything.  I knew she was working on something with lots of stitches.  This is so perfect not only for me but perfect in workmanship!  It reminds me of vintage pillow cases and dresser scarfs that my grandmother made years ago.  I don't and haven't seen such tiny and accurate stitches in forever.  This alone makes my head hurt just thinking about the number of hours and the amount of eyestrain this would cause.  A cute hooty for my hoopla wall. Just look at all the stitches, even the owl is double outlined and I count at least 8 different stitches. Amazing!!!

Averia also sent a cute dragonfly that she questioned what I might use it for!  Wall art or pendant.  Yes it will be worn as a pendant and then clipped to my purse to hang from the side. Here we go again, I would never dare to craft such tiny stitches, and these are all perfect!

Next up is another item straight from my pinterest!  A chevron infinity scarf!  I am gonna rock this with my black coat tomorrow as temps are suppose to drop into the thirty's after hitting 79 today!

I collect needlebooks and once again Averia delivered one from my pinterest but better!   It has such bright colors and I know I sound like a broken record but can you believe all the time she spent hand stitching such perfect little details. Can you see all of the bead accents?  I am so amazed and overwhelmed!

Now I mentioned that Averia had a partner in crime, underthemoutain!!!   I was so lucky to also receive two necklaces that underthemountain stamped for me.  These are my first stamped pieces of jewelry and I love them.  Please post better pictures if you have them as I just can't seem to get a good shot.  Too funny a lady at work had a stamped circle on today with her daughters name on it.  I told her that I was expecting a packgage in the mail and knew that there would be 1 piece of jewelry, come back and see me tomorrow.  She will be so jealous when she sees my tree stump with  a bird (I say its a Robin)  and my travel trailer.  You ladies hit it out of the park. Not 1 but 2 fantastic necklaces.

Averia also sent me a wooden school bus that will become a magnet for work and a sheet of school bus related stickers.  Gonna craft something for work and use these to accent!

Thank's to both of you this was such a wonderful and well thought out package, I love everything!!!!!

146  Re: Sweet and Easy Valentine's Day Swap Round 3 in The Swap Gallery by quaggy on: February 12, 2013 06:55:51 PM
Woo hoo my package arrived from kamehi and it is awesome.  She made a comment that she was just learning to quilt!   Not!  The cute mug rug is perfect and I really needed this for my desk at work!!!!  I love the fabrics together and especially the owls!  In my purse and ready for its new home tomorrow! You can also see some heart stickers only about 1/2 of the sheet though.

Frogs have a special meaning to me and this one is so darn cute!  Such a fat little fellow that will also be displayed at work where I spend many hours a day!

The card had  a very nice hand written note inside that was adorned with cut out hearts using the same  paper that is next to the red on the outside.   I love the little tied love notes.  I am thinking that this must go in a frame and become wall candy since it would make a super cute picture.

Although I did not get it done prior to pictures the stained glass hearts are being used as a fan pull at the moment, the clear area has silver glitter embedded inside.

I am loving this necklace, such a cute idea.  Wished I had time to make them for coworkers but not enough time for this year, it will go on my list for next year though.  Can't wait to wear it to work on Thursday!!!!!! BF did a crappy job with the picture. Better shot in the group picture. It is made from tulle that has chocolates bound inside and knotted.

This is a group shot that also shows a bag of one of my favorites juju hearts.  I forgot to add the frog when I took this photo as he is wrapped in tissue and inside my purse for his trip to the office tomorrow also.

Last up is this super cute swag.  It is perfect, my favorite color combo, aqua and red, hoot owls, hearts, and it was if kamehi came into my home and took measurements.  I might take it to work Thursday and hang it on the front of my desk for the day, but it is coming back home!

Thank you so much for being such a perfect Valentine!!!!
Kamehi was the perfect partner, she captured me in everything that she sent!

147  Re: Winter Scarf Swap 2013!!! SO Feb 1/13 in The Swap Gallery by quaggy on: February 05, 2013 04:35:35 PM
The first is yarn, ribbon and thread sandwiched between water soluble stabilizer. Sewn from end to end and then cross ways the entire length.

The one on the right is 5 layers of flannel cut on the bias.  Spray stabilizer keeps then together during sewing.  Sewn aprox. 1/2 in apart  the total length of scarf.  Then you cut the top two and bottom two layers of flannel.  cut all the way through 6 inches on each end.  Wash and then dry and the flannel ravels to become a soft chenille. The more it gets washed the softer it gets.  When layering the 5 pieces you need to make sure the layers 1,2, 4 and 5 all face with the right side of fabric facing away from the center piece.

1st post was in wrong place so here I am again!

Spidersweb sent me two fantastic scarfs!  I do not knit or crochet so this is my description with not much knowledge.  I love them both! Bf did not do to great with the action shots so I hope to add new ones tomorrow with better detail.
1st up is this open weave in shades of red.  Spidersweb delivered as I requested red to match my car! It is the perfect length, great pattern, fun yarn  winner winner!!!!!

2nd is this oh so cute shawl type scarf I love it too!  The colors are favorites of mine turquoise/aqua  raspberry and lime green. This yarn is so yummy.

Here are better photos close up to show off the detail and yarn.

The red one is going to just pop against my black coat!!!!  Both so different!  I love my new scarfs!!!
Thank you so much spidersweb!

OK officially done repainting and tiling the den.  Need to add to the walls but not sure yet how I am going to decorate.
I only took a few pictures before and during the transformation
Here is a list of what was done:  I had to work in fourths and move evrything around the room as I painted and tiled in sections so I could slide the furniture around on towels.
1. Old sewing machine base was painted green, cleaned and re painted it.
2. Tile was 12 inch square green marble vinyl tile...... now shades of cream and Lt brown 18 inch vinyl tiles.
3. Walls where off white......repainted a Lt cocoa.
4. Trim was a sage green.....repainted it an off white
5. I did have a jungle theme......all marked and packed for a garage sale.
5. Alabaster mini blinds......changed to cinnamon bamboo.
5. I have plans to sale all my curios in the cabinets, charming tails and a few Boyd's bears just to much clutter.
6. Vintage games dusted organized and stacked inside an antique wardrobe and on a vintage school desk.

I have moved my back up sewing machine it is headed to the repair shop and BF sat it in what he thought was an out of the way place. Need to find a new desk chair, and make a mat for under the slot machine not a bath towel and to think this room is never used.
