I did a personal swap with ladybugsandbumblebees.  She had requested a door quilt>  She was trying to solve a problem and thought that a pretty art work might help, something that was padded and had a little weight.  I decided to work in things that she loved and help bring spring indoors.

I attached the flowers ,owls, dragonfly, butterfly and snail with safety pins so they can be removed for washing but still  have a 3 D effect.  The felt birdhouse is suspended from chain.

This door quilt was made from craftster love.  In other swaps I have asked for crocheted items to embellish with and I have to give proper thanks to those labors from the following craftsters:

sarahelise....crocheted butterfly
moma24boyz.....2 owls

and a frog button from ladybugsandbumblebees

Just look at this cute owl magnet straight from my pinterest!

I can tell you this about the person who crafted for me!!!!!

I do not recall that we ever swapped before.  We have been in many swaps together though!  Unless she sent it to another address to have it mailed, I have figured it out.  She has at least 1 letter N in her real name.

Thank you so much Sueunreal  I love my owl magnet!!!!

146  Dressed Milk Crates in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by quaggy on: April 02, 2013 05:26:39 PM
A fun storage container completely changed when dressed up.  Office depot sells these as well as Walmart and numerous other places.  Also fits the milk crates!  These sew together really quick!   They were made for my Spell My Name Swap partner Glasskicker! I also bought a smaller version of the plastic crate at the dollar store for a buck that will be perfect for fat quarters, thread, buttons, bathroom caddy's, the list goes on and on.

The second one was vintage fabric that I scored at Goodwill!

So happy to hear that everything will be well loved! Grin  I had so much fun with the burlap! Earlier I made the comment that I had to get a model.  Well a quick trip to Office depot helped by selling me the crate so I could make sure that the covers fit.  BF has since picked me up a plastic milk crate that should work as well.  The dollar store has small plastic crates for a buck that I want to cover the same way, great for storage.  Have a safe trip and will post when mine arrives!  Just gotta say this is still my favorite swap!  Kiss

My last partner in the crafty detective swap loves monsters, so I decided since one request she had was an apron to use Butterick pattern 5693 and do some fabric stash busting.  This is the end result.  Super simple to make.
