My package from redpopsicles arrived and I am thrilled!

First up I requested a prayer flag and I was amazed that I received a whole sash of prayer flags!  Since I do not have a garden I wanted items for my outdoor area where I sit and read, watch and feed the birds and grill.

action shot in its new home!

Individual flags!!!!!!

not sure why my photos are turned hope you can enjoy them sideways......they are even more fabulous in person.  Baltik fabric with paintings!!  win win!!!!

Next up something I always request and enjoy is altered art redpopsicles sure delivered!

Here's the back so you can see first what she altered!

and the flip side!! Hoot Hoot! This is amazing so well hand crafted!!! I am in awe!

redpopsicles also included this super cool magnet set in some of my favorite colors!

Thank you so much redpopsicles for such a fun well thought out package!  I hope you enjoy the things that I sent your way too!

6  Texas size pillow in Quilting: Completed Projects by quaggy on: May 25, 2015 07:54:26 PM
My partner in the scrappy swap's favorite color was purple.  So when I dug through my scraps I found the perfect pieces of fabric to make this scrappy pillow.  It ended up needing a 24 in pillow form.  I also used some stash yo-yos and buttons for added decorations and to make it a bit more scrappy! The back has a Velcro closure the length of the pillow so that it can be removed and washed!

7  Sunshine wall quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by quaggy on: May 25, 2015 07:47:41 PM
I made this fun and bright summer wall quilt for my swap partner in the Scrappy swap.
I managed to use some stash buttons and fabric that I already had.  The center was a fabric panel that I just stitched everything in a straight stitch to outline it which also made the quilting stitches.  So bright and fun!

Hoping to brighten up a dark space!

Loving all the scrappy crafts!   My package from sarasmile arrived today and I am so excited with what she sent.  I have always liked pads and journals.  This one was made using one of my favorite colors black.  just look at those little buttons another love of mine.  This is going to be used to write down something I am thankful for everyday....lots of space and something I can leave to my son when my time on earth is up!

I am such a doof!!!!!  I was really looking at how this was made as I thought what a cool idea for some of the peeps I work with and I noticed the binding was the same keys as on a box one of my gifts was sent in.  Then I figured out that it must be wasabi tape and the box was covered as well.  I was going to ask sara where she had gotten the box as it is so cute but duh, she covered it as well.

Next gift I looked at appeared to be a stack of buttons....but as  I looked more closely it is a button base that has a message inside.  Now I am just a hick from Texas and sara is going to have to explain the meaning.  Win win because I am going to get educated.  Although at the moment I am not sure of it's meaning it has me intrigued and I can not seem to put it down. Can not wait to hear more about this cute little gem!

Here is the box that I commented on!

and I found this lovely inside!  I love the ivory as it goes with anything, I love buttons. The satin gray ribbon it looks so vintage super cool.  This will be a new favorite of mine.  It is the perfect length!

If I had attempted this it would have become a knotted mess!

and my next gift was also the perfect color........bright.  I so need coasters.  I have gotten a few in past swaps and use them often ..... these are super fun, well made and the perfect colors.  I just love the fabric color and pattern!

Thank you sarasmile for being such a wonderful partner.  I truly love the gifts that you made for me!  They will be used, worn and admired!

Spot on!
