2  Applique Onsies! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by vintagegirl90 on: March 30, 2011 02:03:42 AM
I made these for my precious baby boy who is due to come in just 2 weeks!!

The first is an applique of his first initial. I used wonder under for the first time, and i loved it!
The second is reverse applique (my first time). I'm hoping its the perfect size for him to wear home from the hospital underneath a precious little sweater I've knitted for him.

I hope you enjoy looking!

3  Diaper Pouch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by vintagegirl90 on: March 30, 2011 01:54:57 AM
item #3 in my crazy nesting cycle:

I made this diaper pouch to put all the diaper changing things all in one place when i'm on the go!
unfortunately i melted the velcro a bit when i was ironing it (oops!) so the stick factor isn't top notch. I'm planing to make a wipes case cover to match!

Here's a link to the wonderful tutorial i used: http://www.diaryofaquilter.com/2009/01/diaper-clutch-tutorial.html

5  Cute Little Wristlet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by vintagegirl90 on: March 30, 2011 01:38:15 AM
I made this zippered pouch in a vicious fit of nesting I've been on these last two weeks. I have no idea how this helps me prepare for baby, but somehow it makes me feel better!

i threw it together with scrap fabric from another project and when i wanted different fabric for the lining and the flower i frantically ran around the house and decided to sacrifice a couple pillowcases.

I almost forgot! here is a link to the tutorial i used: http://www.skiptomylou.org/2010/04/27/pleated-pouch-tutorial/
I added a strap and the flower as you will see. Smiley

so with no further ado:

unfortunately the colors shown here don't exactly reflect how it really looks, but it gives the basic idea!

6  My first attempt at Felt Embroidery! in Needlework: Completed Projects by vintagegirl90 on: May 23, 2010 02:38:59 PM
This is my first attempt at felt embroidery.
Realized i did it the hard way by stitching all the way around the birdie instead of just attaching it with a few stitches and stitching around the wing. I guess thats the best way to learn though!

I was originally inspired by SheepBlue's version:

Here it is:

and the over-stitched birdie:

the back dips to a small V in the center (please excuse the sheer fabric.. stupid flash.)
