1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Homemade Mitts/Gloves etc.Swap!! on: October 28, 2005 04:24:15 PM
This time of year always makes me miss my Granny terribly....I'd get a letter in the mail requesting my hand and foot print drawn on paper. After mailing the traces away, I would wait patiently (yeah, right!!) and soon I'd get the coolest knitted mitts and socks EVER for the winter!! I was wondering if anyone else might be feeling this nostalgic and might be interested in a homemade (knit, crochet, sewn etc) mitt/glove/armwarmer/legwarmer/sock swap......ah heck, maybe it could involve any toasty winter item.......
Anyhow.....please let me know what you think!!!
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Get your kicks on Route 66 on: July 20, 2005 10:27:25 AM
Would anyone be intersted in a Route 66 swap?? Think of the diners, the cars, the road side attractions, the Wig Wam motel....total kitsch, no?? I guess it could be present day or vintage, what ever turns ya on!!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Yard Nicho/Crucecita/Descansos on: March 09, 2005 08:32:38 PM
Has anyone made their own yard shrine/nicho?  I am wanting to make one for my patio, but was looking for some instructions for using concrete/adobe & rocks or whatever will stand up to the elements the best!!  I don't want it to be too large or heavy(it has to be able to fit on top of my air conditioning unit).  Any suggestions or help will be most appreciated!!  Grin Muchas Gracias mi amigos!!
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Teletubbies on: February 28, 2005 09:01:48 AM
Ok, here I go......my daughter (who will be 4 in two weeks  Grin) - made me PROMISE to post this (she is really into the swaps I've done..she's even helped out in the 'for the kids' swap!) Would anyone possibly be into a Teletubby swap of some kind?  Punky still LOVES the tubbies, yep she's into Dora, Spongebob, DoodleBops and all the rest, but she still comes back to her original favs!!  It is getting increasingly hard to find Tubby stuff - at least where we are (other than the stuffed toy dolls which at last count I think numbered into the thousands at our house!! We have crafted homemade stuff  - t-shirts, photo frames, sleeping bag) and I wondered if other Moms (Aunties, Grannys, Dads etc) had the same problem? If anyone is interested...I would love to hear from you!! (you will have made a very excited little girl even more thrilled!)  Grin

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Any ideas how to 'rescue' images from scrapbook? on: December 13, 2004 01:08:24 PM
Hi there...this is my first post on crafster!!  Grin  Here's my question...hope someone can help!!  I have a couple of old scrapbooks from when my Mom was a kid (1950's) and they are filled with the fronts of old Christmas cards, Christmas tags, greeting cards..etc...just the best in vintage ephemera!! I would like to remove the cards to make collage pages, etc whatever I can to be able to use this artwork.  The main problem is that I think they are glued down with muscilage....and they are still stuck firmly after all these years!!   Does anyone have any tips how I can remove the items without damaging them??  Thanks in advance!!
