1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: Big Girls Need Love Too Plus Size Recons IMAGE HEAVY!WITH TUTORIALS!NEW PICS on: November 17, 2006 09:28:43 AM
I re-made a couple of t-shirts for my daughter & her best friend after we looked at your photos here (they are both 5 and in kindergarten...)
Both are kinda fashion divas (they start young these days..I don't think I was interested in clothes that early!!) Anyhow, they went over really great & they are begging me for more...in fact, the best friend wears hers so much it's looking tatty already!!! Thanks for the great ideas!!!!  Grin
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: gifts for teachers on: November 08, 2006 09:23:36 AM
Thank you for this thread!!  Last year for a year end thank you to my daughter's 2 teachers, I made patio stones with pictures of the class under clear pebbles on them & the date.  They seemed to go over well as both teachers had garden space to put them in.  This year, my daughter's class has an intern (and boy, he looks to be about age12!! Doogie Howser!!  Maybe that's just 'cause I'M getting old!!) Anyway, I thought that we would most likely make him a fleece scarf (to keep him warm on recess duty at his next school) possibly with our school logo on it....& then some gift certificates to Tim Horton's (for coffee etc).  I'm guessing gift certs. probably would go over well as he still is a student..... Grin
