HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / New Dog Bed for Zurich
|

I recently got my service dog, Zurich, and I made him a bed. Nothing fancy, I took 2 couch cushions and covered them with fleece. The cover is removable to wash, and originally I was going to duct tape the cushions together, but for purposes of moving it around, I chose to not fasten them together. They stay put just fine, and Zurich just loves his bed! For some reason, he likes to sleep with his back up against the wall, so I made sure to put it up against an inside wall, not one that would be cold. Posing for his picture:
He gave up and decided to take a nap:
This is my first project post, so I hope I did everything right!

JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Stainless steel turning skin green - Please help!

This isn't about crafting, but I have no idea where else to ask. A week ago, I bought a cross on a stainless steel chain at a religious supply store. It wasn't cheap by any means. My neck is soooo green now. It's embarrassing! I did a search and found that some folks use clear nail polish on rings, etc (I've done that too) but what about a chain? I have a medic alert bracelet that is surgical stainless steel, and I wear that 24/7 with no green skin, but in the past, even my wedding ring (18 karat gold) made my finger green for about 3 days. I guess after that I adjusted? I don't know, but it's frustrating!
ANY help would be sincerely appreciated!
