And here are the fabulous items KittenWrangler crafted for me!

1. For my Vintage theme I received a pair of Victorian-style earrings! It also so happens to be the exact same colour of the dress I'm wearing on Saturday to my friend's wedding! Whooooooo!
2. For my Tree theme I received a set of 6 crocheted coasters made with 100% bamboo and cotton yarn in the middle and a brown acrylic border.
3. A pair of dice earrings from my Wists as an added surprise! I absolutely LOVE them!

4. A floral printed cosmetic bag for my Whimsical theme.

5. For my Goddess theme I received a scatter cushion cover hand embroidered with an image of Diana out hunting. I really like this!

6. For my Art Noveau theme I received a handbag. The image on the front are 4 Mucha panels depicting times of the day. I LOVE Mucha and so happen to have those exact same Mucha panels as plaques! You hit this one spot one!

Thank you so much for your wonderful craftiness!!

249  Bamboo Skewer Placemats! in CHALLENGE 42 ENTRIES by katara on: September 05, 2009 12:33:45 PM
I have been eyeing out some bamboo placemats for a whilst now - but unfortunately they carried an unreasonable price tag (when the cost of materials are taken into account) so I decided to make my own!

I purchased the packet of bamboo skewers and the rope and the green silky-like thread from the dollar-store.

I then proceeded by basically 'weaving' the bamboo skewers together using the rope and the thread. I sealed the ends with some wood glue and ... Voila! A set of 4 placemats ready for use!
