Hi everyone- Been awhile since I posted anything new- so I got off my lazy bum and uploaded some new pics. It was a bonus because it was sunny yesterday!
Been ordering lots of new fibres for some big consignment orders I am filling and hope this will also go to some classes I'll be teaching here in Vancouver in March and April too. I can't wait- I am pretty excited...but then again- that could be nerves. hahahaha!
So, some fibre 'porn'
for you to look at- I got a gorgeous hand-dyed lot from feltstudiouk, ah-! I am her BIGGEST fan!
and a shipment from Dreamspin Fibres in Ontario-
SLURP!!!! I LOVE it all- I grabbed lots of superfine merino-18.5 microns!! it feels just like clouds! I can't wait to see what it looks like felted. Like a suede finish they say.
The turquiose/brown/black in the bottom left corner is dyed silk laps. Never used them before but should be TONS of fun in Wet Felt.
and I did make something for myself- FINALLY! lol. Been so busy around here- I needed to stop. and take care of my needs.
Cold here on the water in January, so I made a felted sash- or belt tie. I can wear it over jeans/pants and tie it on my hip. Super cosy and warm.
For the tie, I used my favourite handspun that I've managed to ply so far. So I am happy, and will probably make more in February- after the storm clears in my inbox.
Hope you like-I saved some of my fave colourway from feltstudiouk for this project. Of course!
