11  Re: Box of Color Round Two in The Swap Gallery by dinkime on: February 10, 2015 09:11:10 AM
Stillatthetop received and has had some camera issues.  Unfortunately, I only took ONE photo of what I sent her!

I made her a girl drummer hoop & drumstick holder!

There were also purple tongs & a spoon rest, greeting cards, a mini book for notes or photos, a butterfly clip, purple striped straws, some carved stamps & ink, a pinwheel, and I don't remember what else!  Lots of purple crinkley paper & Easter grass, too...

I received from stillatthetop today!  Lots of pink & lime green goodness!!

First: before opening...

Next: some extras (chocolate, mini envies, a magazine to cut up), and my smalls a cool mixed media ATC, mini cards to use for swaps, some flat glass pieces, and a cute mini hoop...

And, my fave, a fun spring wreath!

13  Re: I Love Harry Potter - OTHPT Valentines Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by dinkime on: February 07, 2015 02:42:50 PM
I received from chrmisha today!!  Grin

I got some cinnamon jelly hearts (my fave that you can only get at Valentines) and a card from my ginger love, Ron!

Then I now am the proud owner of an awesome shadowbox/curiosity cabinet/whatever about the life of Ronald Bilius Weasley!
The whole thing & a view of the top/drawer pull.

A view of each box: my favorite keep flying in a game, whomping willow & car, owl, Weasley sweater, freckle remover (really a candle), and another view of the deluminator with Dumbledore's initials...

14  Dark Mark Hoopla in Needlework: Completed Projects by dinkime on: December 21, 2014 05:31:40 PM
I made this for a Harry Potter swap (obviously?)...It is variegated green DMC in a weird type of chain stitch (or something similar).  I used a black bandana for the fabric.  It is maybe 8-10 inches?

I found a drawing of the Dark Mark from the books on-line to base this off of.  I also added the spell to cast the Dark Mark on the side.

15  Santa Belly Hoopla in Needlework: Completed Projects by dinkime on: December 21, 2014 05:27:02 PM
This was made for Helena Puck in the 12 days of Christmas swap.  It is BIG (11-12 inch hoop!).  The red is a bandana.  The black belt is felt.  The gold buckle is "felt" but it is all glittery.  The white is a fun fur trim I found.  I used embroidery thread and a whip stitch to attach everything.

16  Snowflake Hoopla in Needlework: Completed Projects by dinkime on: December 21, 2014 05:25:05 PM
I made this hoopla for Helena Puck in the 12 days of Christmas swap.  It is light blue felt in a small, 3-4 inch hoop, and shimmery white embroidery thread.  I free handed all of it.

17  Lotus Hoopla in Needlework: Completed Projects by dinkime on: December 21, 2014 05:23:19 PM
I made this for gingerpeachy in the Make a Friend swap.  It is all felt and embroidery thread.  The upper edges of the petals & leaves are not sewn down to make it look more dimensional.  This is a small, 3-4 inch hoop.

18  Panda Hoopla! in Needlework: Completed Projects by dinkime on: December 21, 2014 05:20:41 PM
I made this for gingerpeachy in the Make a Friend swap.  It is BIG (like an 11-12 inch hoop!).  The background is a bandana!  I free cut the panda pieces and sewed them together with a whip stitch then sewed the entire thing onto the background.

I made this for one of the Harry Potter swaps some time back...I love the oval hoop!  The person I swapped with was into Astronomy for her HP class.  I used shimmery thread (or maybe glow in the dark??) and dark blue felt.

20  Damble Claus in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by dinkime on: December 20, 2014 11:33:05 AM
I made this for the Very Harry Christmas swap -- Dumble Claus!  The plan was for an articulated paper doll ornament, but nothing ended up articulated.  There are many different layers...and I glittered....
