1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Wooden Alphabet Blocks? on: August 31, 2009 03:31:17 PM
My sister and I just got a whole bunch of those little, wooden alphabet blocks. We have no idea what to do with them...? Any ideas? It would be greatly appreciated if you had any!
Thanks Smiley

2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Dog Collar Tags on: January 29, 2009 09:57:41 PM
My dad found some reject dog collar tags around his work...
Theres five blue bones,
Three green bells,
twopink hearts
and two black circles.

The circles and the bones are perfect, while one pink heart is pretty scraped up, only on one side though...and two of the bells are pretty marked up as well...
Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated as I am completely clueless as to what I should make. Huh
Thanks!!  Smiley

Oh, and they're all blank!

4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Gilbert The Cat on: January 06, 2009 11:11:31 PM
i named him gilbert.
i am not sure why,
but i did.  Wink

im also not sure why im writing in all lower case letters...but thats beside the point.
heres gilbert!
 Grin

^^^that would be gilbert before i put him together...the white on the tail is because i started putting him together before i decided i wanted to take a picture:]

^^^there he is all put together:]

^^^there he is after i put fur on him:]

^^^and gilbert from the back. :] (my favorite!)

i plan to make the eyes and nose smaller, they look a little large for his face. but besides that, i love him.
i was also wondering what every one here uses for adding texture (like fur). i found an old dental tool and used that, you know the ones they use to scrape plaque off your teeth? (it was never used before!)
well, anyway, that was hard to use because of the odd curves and twists.
my sister has some tools for exactly this purpose, but theyre large and dont work well on my smaller clay pieces...any suggestions?

thanks for looking!

5  COOKING / Dessert / Mr. Alligator! (Cupcakes!) on: December 31, 2008 09:24:50 PM
My sister and I made these from the book Hello Cupcake!
They looked great in the book, and we were both afraid they would be one of those things that look great in the picture, but turn out horribly, but that was not the case!
Fun, easy and very tasty! Smiley

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Lifehouse Painting on: December 30, 2008 09:03:12 PM
I know Im not a great artist, but my dad needed something nice for Christmas!
I modeled the painting after a picture my friend took while on vacation to the Oregon coast,

And heres mine...

Not great, but oh well!

So, I was trying to decide whether or not I wanted to add the grass from the hill, (Even though I've already given it to him), but I wasn't sure...?
Suggestions?

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Twilight Box on: December 27, 2008 10:55:14 PM
My mom had bought a couple wood boxes so we could paint them...Im a little Twilight crazy, so I did mine Twilight.  Smiley
I thought I would just write my favorite quotes on it, but then my sister showed me modge-podge. yay! Cheesy

The ink smeared on the quote on top and the picture, but Im happy with the final product.

All the quotes on the box:
Fall down again, Bella? (Emmett, Eclipse)
You will always be the most beautiful thing in my world. (Edward, New Moon )
I think she's having hysterics. Maybe you should slap her. (Alice, New Moon)
Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? (Jacob,Twilight? )
I hate driving slow...(Edward, Twilight)
What if Im not the hero, what if Im the bad guy? (Edward, Twilight)
You're not asleep, and you're not dead. Im here, and I love you. I hae always loved you, and I will always loev you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind every second I was away. When I told you that I didnt want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy. (Edward, New Moon)
