I like this! Especially how the zips tie in with the colourful zebra fabric  Grin

Here's a strange messenger/tote hybrid that I made.. I like the cut of a messenger bag but prefer to carry a tote. So this is what happened, haha.

Fabric from Ikea. I bought 3 ladies' synthetic leather belts cheap and cut them up..

Orange stitches are handsewn, what a pain in the butt.  Angry

I think the green fabric is called Shantung silk.. but I'm not very sure because there were no labels where I bought it.

And yup the zippered compartment is for coins! Actually there's a loop for keys as well but I decided not to use it hehe.

Thanks! I didn't use a pattern or tute but I'm making more for my sister and mum so I could try to make one!  Smiley

This is the fabric stiffener I used:

Yeap it's usually used to shape lace, ribbons and cloth for origami folding, I believe. Hm it looks and feels like PVA or craft glue to me. Smells somewhat like vinegar. I used a disposable knife to spread it on the fabric.

Oh and I used a bead for the button..  I love it too! Cheesy

Here's a wallet I made!

I used interfacing with the green fabric to give it shape and the striped fabric is hardened and shaped using fabric stiffener. Has anyone else used this for bags or wallets? haha I didn't know whether it was used for these things..

Nice colors! The polka dots give it a sort of pop art feel? I dunno. It looks cool!

OH YES the fabric! It's time to get rid of the boring foam case I've been using!  Grin

(Just randomly, I've got post-its with the qwerty print.)
