1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Princess Luna Plushie - My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic on: October 21, 2011 04:11:05 PM
I've been tweaking my pony pattern and I'm really happy with this one. It's Princess Luna!

She's made of fleece, just like my Pinkie Pie. I just made some changes to the pattern. Her cutie mark and eyes are hand painted. Smiley
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My Little Pony Pinkie Pie Plushie! on: October 14, 2011 06:00:57 PM
The super cute Fluttershy plush that just got posted reminded me of one I made last month. My daughter wanted a snuggly Pinkie Pie for her birthday but all of the official Friendship is Magic plush are weird looking. So I made my own!

Of course, now I just want to keep making pony plush! Wink I'm currently tweaking my pattern since this one ended up a little top heavy. My daughter has slept with it every night since she got it so I guess that's all that matters.

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Pokemon patterns? on: August 11, 2011 05:04:51 PM
I'm still a novice at making plushies, but my son has requested some Pokemon characters for Christmas. He's not picky about which ones so I'm looking for patterns! Do any of you have good sources? I specifically need sewn plushies - I can't do amigurumi Sad
5  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Peter Pan painted shoes on: July 19, 2011 09:02:49 AM
Actually, "painted" may be a bit of a misnomer since I used markers to make these. Wink My partner in the recent Disney swap requested something with "second star to the right" and the London skyline on it. So I made her these shoes!

They started out as a pair of plain white sneakers.

The backs. I was really proud of the way Neverland Island looks.

The sides, with the quote, "The second star to the right and straight on 'til morning."

Thanks for looking!

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Avatar: The Last Airbender Round 3? on: June 29, 2011 10:30:28 PM
I've been rewatching the series along with Mark at Mark Watches and it's giving me the urge to swap! I saw that there have been two Last Airbender swaps in the past, so is anyone up for a round 3? I'd totally be up for organizing if there's interest, unless someone else wanted to take it on.

What do you all think?
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Don't Blink! Embroidery Hoops on: April 17, 2011 03:40:49 PM
As a relatively recent Doctor Who fan, I was thrilled to be partnered with a Doctor Who fan for the recent Hoopla swap. My partner's favorite episode is Blink, which is also one of my favorites, so here are the hoops I made for her.

The design is from a friend's t-shirt and the angel is appliqued on with glow-in-the-dark floss (which I will never try again because it was a giant pain). The lettering is also glow-in-the-dark for added creepiness. Wink
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Cheshire Cat Messenger Bag on: March 28, 2011 05:24:51 PM
This is my first messenger bag and I'm rather proud of it. My partner in the Alice in Craftster-Land swap likes the cheshire cat, so I went with that as the theme. It has a zippered divider pouch and a removable strap.

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Diaper Bag Set on: January 01, 2011 02:35:51 PM
My friend's daughter is three and has a ton of baby dolls. For Christmas this year, I made her a little diaper bag set.

Inside are a set of diaper wipes, a changing mat, and three diapers.

With everything inside.

I used the tutorials here for the bag, wipes, and changing pad. I traced one of my daughter's doll diapers for the diaper pattern. The diapers and wipes are made of white flannel and the other fabrics are quilter's cotton. I think it came out cute and I hope it gets lots of use.
