1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Volcano! Swarovski Platform Pumps - The bling continues on: October 14, 2011 05:15:31 PM
I just finished another pair of rhinestone encrusted shoes!  This time I used Volcano rhinestones.  I lurve them!

2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Glitter Encrusted Penny Loafers on: October 02, 2011 12:29:59 PM
Here is my latest shoe concoction!  It's a Miu Miu inspired glitter covered penny loafer.  The base shoe is from Bongo, and the glitter color mix is a custom color.  It's a really subtle look because I mixed the glitter into the glue instead of sprinkling it on top.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Wonder Woman Pillow on: September 18, 2011 06:40:59 PM
I made this pillow several years ago for a friend.  She was decorating in a super-hero theme and was upset she couldn't find any Wonder Woman gear.  So I found this awesome star material at JoAnns (it glitters!) and appliqued the logo on.  It's pretty simple, but I love how it turned out!

4  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Swarovski Blue Heels on: September 18, 2011 06:21:12 PM
The base used for this shoe is from Romantic Soles and is called Aishah.  The shoes started their life has a satin sling back shoe with an organza bow. I thought the bows would distract too much from the sparkles of the rhinestone, and just make the shoe a bit too fussy.  So the bows were removed.  They were then coated in rhinestones, using approximately 6000 rhinestones in five different sizes.  The colors used are Aquamarine and Capri, and are the 2028 Rose Xillion stones from Swarovski.  These shoes took about 40 hours.

5  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Swarovski Crystal Platform Pumps on: September 18, 2011 06:18:16 PM
I love this shoe.  I really do.  The platform and the heel are amazing.  I love the Mary Jane strap because it adds just a bit of extra oomph to the shoe.  It's the Rebecka from Brigitte Bailey by Pour La Victoire.  The pair of shoes used the nude patent as the base.. Nearly 8000 Silk Swarovski Rhinestones were used to create these gorgeous shoes and it took about 40 hours.

6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / How to make my own designer shoes? on: January 26, 2010 07:07:03 PM
They are hideous!  They are tacky! I LOVE them.  I want them.  I must have them....

Why?  I don't know....

But I'm in lust....

And I can't quite sell out the dough for designer shoes.  So how do I go about making my own set?  Really, the only thing I would change would be to scale back the wings so I can actually wear them in public.  And make the heels chunkier, but that's my own personal taste.

They are made by Lino Villaventura.
