432  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: My yoga mat needed a home... on: February 11, 2009 11:05:25 AM
I love this bag! I never even thought about putting pockets on a yoga bag! So smart!
433  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Heat-Resistant Hair-Iron Cozy! on: February 10, 2009 10:37:40 AM
I love this project. I made a couple as christmas gifts, one for my sister, and another one for my hairdresser (when I was in I told her about the one I was making for my sister and she fell in love with the idea, so I made her one too!)  I sewed a ribbon into the outer bag so that you could use it to tie up the cord!
434  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Sandwich wraps w/ napkins on: February 10, 2009 10:25:23 AM
These are great.  I'd love to make some.  I feel really guilty when I take my sandwiches in baggies, because containers take up too much room in my backpack!  Would you be so kind as to provide instructions/tutorial or even just the dimensions you used?
435  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sealant Over Modge Podge? on: February 09, 2009 04:38:14 PM
I'm impressed at my search skills, I had this same question and knew that someone must have already answered it (and I managed to find it!)!

I'm making my bf a 52 reasons you're awesome book for that stupid consumer driven holiday coming up Tongue  and decided it was a "bright" idea to modge podge all the pages.  Now all my cards are sticking together.  I bought one kind of sealer, and it doesn't seem to solve the problem, guess I'll just have to try one of the suggestions above.

If anyone has any ideas how to solve this problem, I'd still like to hear it. I considered putting paper or something between the pages, but the book is already super fat to begin with!
436  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: IKEA tree print totebag, LOVE it! on: February 08, 2009 01:47:13 PM
Great bag!  I didn't know IKEA sold fabric!!!  Too bad the closest one to me is over 5 hours away!  Sad

This is a great idea, and as already mentioned, the fabric is too cute!  I'm glad it's worked out for your family.

P.s. I love to see projects by fellow Saskatchewanians Tongue (especially ones as awesome as this!)

This is gorgeous!  I like that it serves a purpose, yet it's pretty and decorative.

I think I might have to make something similar for myself.  I'd use the excuse that engineering school is keeping me too busy to get it done, but seeing as how you're working on a dissertation, I don't have an excuse! lol Best of luck with that.  I have  a friend finishing hers, and I know she wants to rip her hair out, and I can imagine you feel the same way!
439  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Windbender Hat & Mittens (lrg imgs) on: January 26, 2009 06:53:16 PM
That's super sweet!  (I too love the Avatar!)  I like it because no one would think it's weird seeing you wear it on the street, but to people who get the reference it's AWESOME!!!

I love this! I've seen a few versions of these (including silicon ones in stores, which I'm against!) and I love it. I'm currently planning an "eco purse" and it's going to be equipped with great little 'gadgets' like this! Nice job, it looks great!
