So as one of my 50 projects in 2010 I wanted to make a bunch of cards.  I set out to make 10 thank you cards, and ended up making 11 because I can't count!

Here's my first attempt at a rag quilt.  I used up my flannel scraps, and hoped it would be baby sized, but I it ended up doll sized. lol  It measures about 23"x21"

I haven't had much time to be craftly lately, but I did glue these flowers I made a couple months ago to some bobby pins for my sister!

This is the craftiest thing that I've accomplished lately!

Oatmeal Current Cookies!!!

(the cookie jar in the back wasn't made by me, but I wish it was! My boyfriend bought it for me for Christmas from a local artist)

They were supposed to be chocolate chips, but I didn't have any, so I used currents and they're FABULOUS!

Here's the recipe
Cream together 1 cup butter and 1.5 cups packed brown sugar until fluffy
Beat in 2 eggs and 1 tsp of vanilla
Add 1.5 cups of flour, 2 tsp baking soda, 0.5 tsp salt and 2 cups rolled oats
Mix well.
Stir in 0.75 cup shredded coconut and 1 cup currents (or chocolate chips, or I"m sure raisins would work too!)
Drop onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.

YUM!

Not entirely sure if this is the right place for this, but I wasn't sure where to put it.

Last year I made my man a 52 reasons I love you book, so this year I needed to do something different.

I took a VHS case and made it into LOVE.


I modpodged the outside with tissue paper.  On the front I slid in a piece of paper with a velum quote that says "Kisses are the messengers of love" and then stamped lips on it.  I added a few more embellishments with some ribbon, red stick on gems, and a heart that I'm really proud of.




This heart was made from a jazzy jewelry clear heart, then I put diamond glaze on it, sprinkled seed beads on it, and finished it up with another layer of diamond glaze.



The back has glitter sticker letters that say LOVE and then I stamped in brown "all you need is love" and "youre the best!" all over.





On the inside I decorated an ace of hearts card with glitter and acrylic paint, and then added wooden hearts to dangle which came from some old project I ripped apart a while ago.  




The other side contained the pictures/paper crafty part of this project.  I took pictures of me I'd ordered doubles of accidently, and put them on an index card with one of the cute text messages he has sent me and I've saved.

Because I was just making this one for fun, it's an etch-a-sketch (if you didn't already figure that out. lol) with the ds logo on it.  I was thinking that if I were to make these for other people, I could always put their name on it!
